For today's video, I am doing another 3 looks 1 palette for the Natasha Denona Metropolis Palette!
For this one I wanted to show you how to create "easy to wear" looks, and show you how the shadows perform.
I know the last one may seem to be more difficult to wear for some of you.

@@JohannaGMakeup We would not be bored if you do one more video ( with golds) 'cause you are really the best 😍 . I just want to ask one thing about Metropolis, someone on yt says that the pans are also magnetic and thay can be pulled from the palette as thay can in the plasticy one's, but i dont see anywhere how.. Is that the truth, can we pull off the pans from the palette ?

@@emilijamitrovic2307 Haha Thank you! I don't see how you can pull the shadows from this palette... the plastic ones yes, you can definitely see the little holes at the back. But here, unless you destroy the packaging... I don't think so. I might be wrong and in that case I'll be curious to see how they do it!

@@JohannaGMakeup maybe you can pull out with a spatula as you can do with other leather-like palette (as gold or star). And you don't destroy anything. I always depot ND eyeshadow to create my little mini palette mixing and matching shades from various palettes of hers to wear during the week

I only wish Natasha had gone with more of a neutral cocoa themed rather than so much warmth...when I look at the palette it turns me off because there’s so much orange & even her ‘neutral’ palette is very warm! I’d love to see her come out with a variety of cocoa mattes & shimmers from light taupes & tans, pinkish nudes & browns through deep bronze & rich dark chocolate mattes using this phenomenal formula she used in this Metropolis palette...this would be heavenly (in my opinion lol).

First time viewer, new sub. Appreciate all the looks you've done with this palette. I think the coppers are its strong suit. For true gold, I think I'll have to pull out my Colourpop Good as Good palette. I usually bring in my Viseart Neutral Mattes to supplement transition and outer corner colors. The formulas work well together. I'll probably depot the palette because I love mix and match, but I'm enjoying playing with the current layout.

I’ve been waiting for you to upload this video! Thank you so much for doing this. The first two looks I can definitely wear. The third look I would have to tone done a bit. It gets harder to pull off more intense eyeshadow looks as I get older. I’ll be 64 in just a couple of weeks. So many changes in my face as I age. 😳 You have a wonderful channel. Thank you! I'll definitely create more looks with it. You can tone it down, or just skip the red and orange shades and intead just put Pure, Antique and maybe one of the gold shades if it's for an event 😉

@@mariannepetersen3985 I haven't tried the Naked Honey, it definitely seems to focus more on the brown/gold/honey tones with maybe that pop of green gold. If you are not interested in the more colourful shades nor the cream to powder formula... maybe the UD... They are obviously not the same price, but you get 28 shades in the ND 😉

Just because you're 64 dont mean you can't wear colors and have fun!! Do whatever you like and rock it out!!! No reason not too, and life is short..have fun and play in lots of makeup with lots of colors.

Justmiss jamey When you get to be my age and see the changes in your face, the sagging and lines I think you will understand a bit better. I do like colors and am having fun with makeup but I can’t wear colors like I used too when I was younger. It just exaggerates things I don’t want emphasis on now. . Colors have to be strategically placed with much more care. I can’t do wings anymore because of the changes in my eyes. Another thing is cataracts. I remember when I was younger and I would see the “old ladies” and their makeup was sooo overdone. Why? Because they couldn’t see well due to cataracts. I’m just at the beginning of developing cataracts and have noticed that I need a lot more light to see. I also have to use a 10X mirror now to see what I’m doing when applying makeup. So I have to be careful with color because I don’t want to look like one of those “ old ladies” that I remember from my youth. I can’t believe that I’m looking forward to having cataract surgery when the Dr says it’s time. 😳 Yes, life is extremely short and the time has flown by. It seems just the other day I was 25. I went to sleep and the next day I was 50. Went to sleep again and woke up and I was 60. Enjoy youth because it goes by so very fast. And remember to use sunscreen. My age group and those older than me didn’t have the knowledge about sun damage. The sun definitely catches up with you later on in life. I did order this palette because it does have lots of neutrals that I know I can use. I’ll use those few dark blues for a pop of color under my lower lash line. Take care 😊❤️

I can’t wear drugstore or high end makeup that looks beautiful on but without all the silicones (dimethicone) it sucks

I'm sorry For the fact that I keep asking for different looks but could you do some more coral looks - since that's the color of the year z with this palette?🙏 The one at the end of the video is mostly what I'm talking about but if you could do some more coral ones using 3 or more colors I'd appreciate it . JohannaGMakeup can’t wait to learn about this new product, I’m very interested in this powder foundation, you look beautiful wearing it! I love using a powder when I’m running late...if necessary I can apply it in the car as no mirror is necessary! For years my favorite powder foundation for drier skin has been the Smashbox Halo Powder...I even purchased it in a darker shade to use as a bronzer/contour because I love the finish it gives.
