Although we are from India, we have been living in the US for almost 2 decades now. We can relate to cold weather in Finland, it seems similar to winter weather we faced in Wisconsin. Anyways, my kids want to do a trip on Lapland express to Rovaniemi next winter. We hope to make the trip and vlog it. Your videos are helping me prepare for my upcoming possible business trips (Visa approvals pending) to Vantaa, FI. Looking forward to visiting the NORDICS next year for sure. I thought “sauna” was an English word but the way Johanna was pronouncing it I figured it could be a Finnish word. It has very interesting origin: “ The word sauna comes from the Finnish language, and its origins date back to ancient times. It is believed to be one of the oldest words in the Finnish language, possibly dating back thousands of years. In its traditional sense, a sauna refers to a small, heated room or building used for bathing, where steam and heat are generated by throwing water onto hot stones. Ohhhhhh Johanna, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the scene of Vinod and Annika in the lake. Proper father and daughter time prior to Vinod heading back to India for work. These memories of you guys in the Alpine lands will last forever. UTTERLY DELIGHTFUL ❤ Johanna..... In June there are usually no fresh blueberries in the forests, the season only starts in July. The pie was made from frozen blueberries that were picked last year! 😊 some coldest parts of lapland (northernmost Finland) have already received the first snow, in southern Finland where our home is the first snow can come any time in Oct-Dec. Usually later, but last year the first snow already came in October!

That shot was from another day when we visited there at 11am. But this is midsummer so there would be plenty enough of light at 11pm as in the midsummer the sun doesnt set. The sky wouldnt be blue and the sun wouldnt be too high though 😊
