Not to mention how essential of a part of a cultural identity and way of thinking it is! It would be very difficult for Annika to properly understand Finland and India (or her father’s part of India) if she didn’t learn the languages at a native level from birth. Many people don’t understand everything that languages are, or that I majored in linguistics and language learning/teaching in university - this is one field I actually super qualified to talk about and still read about language learning/multilingualism almost daily 🤓

I don’t see being Indian or Finnish that different in the end, at least when it comes to the things that matter to me the most, like home, family and food - except maybe the use of spices and I’ve always loved Indian and overall more spicy food unlike what’s in traditional Finnish recipes 😅 I love love love Indian food, though now i miss Finnish food quite a bit too since I never get it 😋

It was some infection that Mommy and Daddy had got from their visit in the villages. It was a terrible ordeal and I wasn’t happy with the initial medical care, but once we got it sorted out Annika started recovering quickly and by now is perfectly well 😊❤

Johanna.. when my son is Annika age.. Our mother toung is Bengali but my wife talk him in Hindi me in bangali and we stay at Maharashtra... So it's difficult for the boy learn any one language.. My suggestion to u talk to her with only one language.. after learning one language she can easily adopt others.. Look she have learn Malayalam also.. I understand u miss finish language .. it's ur mother toung... But please understand.. as i have faced this .. and i am advising u as my little sister..
