hi everyone! i was actually rlly nervous to put this video out (for many reasons like it shows my face, it’s a different style) but i wanted to share it with you bc i feel that there is someone out there that NEEDS to hear this. (my past self definitely needed to 🥲) if you’ve been sitting on your goals, just WISHING you could get yourself to take action & put yourself out there, i promise you, it is not an issue with laziness or “procrastination”. there is ALWAYS something deeper, and once you heal that root cause, you will find that HUGE progress on your goals comes naturally and easily. you already have everything you need - it's time to release any doubt and unleash your potential!!! wow i'm proud of my epic writing 😤 but for real, it's your time to shine >:)

Thank you so much for this video! I have started a KZbin channel as well I have been wanting to for soo long , I filmed my first video yesterday (I will be uploading it later this week), since I'm still a beginner artist and I was thinking well my art isn't that good and my inspirations are such good artists and can draw better, but now I'm thinking well it doesn't matter how good or bad my art is I'm still a beginner and the fact that I started and I am actually doing this is enough, I will trust the process and accomplish my goals. :) edit: Btw I love your stationary! its soo cute and aesthetic I will definitely shop when I can!

as a small business owner myself, i agree with everything that you said. i feel like one thing that people dont talk about much when it comes to starting a business is the self doubt and overthinking that comes with it. you guys can do this. start that small business and make it big!

I think there are a lot of people who are working really hard towards their goals. I think it's so cool to share these processes with people. I'm rooting for you.

ahh johanna!!! i'm so so proud of you for putting out this video and sharing such resonant, inspirational, and empowering messages with the world 🥹 i literally mentally clapped at every single point you made in the video & the challenging themes of perfectionism, self-worth, self-doubt, etc. that you touched on 👏 i absolutely LOVE what you said about detaching your self-worth from the work you do/put out!!! it's a concept i'm still actively working on trying to internalize for myself - it's so hard to unlearn when we as a society continually reinforce the intertwinement of what you DO with who you ARE. i'm a journey to healing this part of myself because i know that i will always be enough as i am 💗 i can't wait to see where your journey of taking action on your goals takes you!! cheering for you always 🥹

I really resonated with this video the main quotes that struck me were “What would happen if you just allow yourself to create freely? put yourself out there freely? From a place that feels so grounded and secure. that you were able to experiment and do things outside your comfort zone. How much further will you get?” and “do what’s your body fears but what’s your soul craves.” It is so easy for me to get caught up in comparison, and placing myself in a box to fit styles that are “in” that I ended up loosing the passion to create. It would take me days to finish a sticker and it would give me anxiety just looking at it. I would ask myself if this gives you so much fear is this for you? Truly reflecting while watching this video I can say with certain I haven't allowed myself to be free in my creations in a long time. I compare, and give myself doubt as if my creations aren't made to be loved too. I need to applaud you for this video. The general points really hit deep if your open to self reflection. I encourage everyone to take actions towards the points stated in the video. Please keep up the great work💕

I cannot describe in words how much I need this video. I've been struggling with focusing on school lately, at the same time, I'm also planning for my own small business. I love your channel 💕

wow i am so happy to hear that you needed to hear this - we are all SO connected, and it's crazy to see how much we can share the same struggles with others :") also, when it comes to focusing on school while trying to start your own small business, i FEEL you. the biggest key for me was to START that small business and get that excitement out of my system. also, using "working on my small business" as a reward that i would only give myself after finishing school work helped me to finish my school work more efficiently! best of luck!!!

I'm much older than what I assume is your target audience (I'm 31 lol), but I've been struggling with the goal of starting a small art business and have been stuck in going forward. I LOVE art and drawing, but starting a business is a whole NEW different job from just drawing. It's terrifying to start something that could financially cost you if things go wrong and I'd essentially be working 2 jobs since I have a day job as well to supplement any lack of stable income from starting my own business. I think I really needed to see this video bc you're right, the longer you hold it off due to anxiety and fear (although very valid), the spark will disappear. Thanks for making this even though you were nervous about it; I think it came out great and I know for a fact that it will help people start something, including myself!

dw about your age bc actually the majority of my viewers are in their twenties and mid thirties! but yes, this is SUCH a real concern to have (and something that I am thinking about a lot more now that i am approaching graduating in my last year of university)! i feel that the best thing we can do for ourselves is to get started, follow our excitement & inspiration, and trust that we will learn all the lessons we need to learn along the way. i like to remind myself that i am not "the first" artist/creator trying to run a successful business. there are hundreds of thousands, millions of others who are already successful in what we are dreaming of, so why wouldn't we be able to do the same? i totally believe in you just based on looking at your art on your instagram (yes, i did a little investigation bc your profile pic was so cute >

I've been in the same exciting ideas for like a year now, but I still feel pretty excited! Even tho not as crazy and overwhelming like a year ago where this ideas just pop up, but I promise to myself that I will stay and make progress even tho it'll take years.. I will.. take an action, right after I've done doing my must to do routine today, I swear I won't let myself struggle to wait again.. it DOES affect me when I have a bunch of dreams and goals yet I did not make any action cause I need that "perfect time" while all I was doing was just limiting myself in.. I will try to be less perfectionist with my actions to just.. do it.. I promise to myself, I'll put myself out there.. trying to stop my idealism mine.. and I'll do my best.. and see what'll happen.. no longer waiting to find out.

The feeling of inadequacy is common when working alone. I still haven't figured out how to encourage myself when I'm alone. Only the work deadline triggers the action, and then it feels heavy. Somehow you have to try to find a different way of doing things, I know that there is one because when I do things that don't involve the pressure of performance, I work effortlessly. Maybe I could try some online connection via live video with another person working alone.
@johannapark2 ай бұрын
this is such a good point and i think it is so amazing that you are already aware of your blocks and are looking into changes that will work for you! working on my personal goals has DEFINITELY taught me a lot about my procrastination/perfectionism when it comes to goals that involve the "pressure of performance" that you describe. but i feel that this just goes to show that these goals can be our ultimate stepping stones to unlocking that "next level" of ourselves and our goals. i'm wishing you the best of luck on your journey!!!
