Simply adore sinfonia concertante that include interesting combinations of solo instruments. Another delightful work to add to a growing list of works that combine the double bass with other unlikely solo combinations (Koželuch's sinfonia concertante for trumpet, piano, mandolin and double bass comes to mind). Johannes Matthias Sperger has composed about 20 songs of Kontrabass Concerto, and this Sifonie Concertante is also a solo performance with Kontrabass, Flute and Viola intertwined, and I think it is a very excellent work. Orchestra is also a powerful thing including timpani and brass instruments, and it seems that it is a song that condenses the charm of Johannes Matthias Sperger. It's an unexpected pleasure for Johannes Matthias Sperger to leave such an excellent piece of work other than the Kontrabass Concerto, and it's the best sound source to add to my Johannes Matthias Sperger playlist. In any case, I think this song is so wonderful that it surpasses the Kontrabass Concerto No. 15 in D major with the orchestration of Johannes Matthias Sperger's whole body and the brilliant performance of three solo instruments. Great music upload, thank you very much.

Hard to think the Double Bass as a solo instrument , but this once prolific German composer a virtuoso shows what a beautiful melodic instrument it is. Sperger is an excellent Classical composer certainly a rival to Haydn and Mozart, Vienna must have heard him play double bass? Love ❤️ it.
