Beside Amanal, I seriously think he's one to brake sub 60 for the first time as a german athlete. Such an extremely strong runner

someting offtopic: just watched the Hannover Marathon Footage from last weekend. at the women leading group was a bulky looking Australian runner (in comparison to the rest of the group) who tried to get some screen time 😉

As a running/ triathlon coach I have the idea that a lot of runners really dont have a good nutrition plan for their race nor their trainings.

What is that float pace between reps? Is it tempo or recovery pace? If i do reps at 3:45, should my float pace be around 4:20?
@gaiusvelleius Жыл бұрын
probably a bit under marathon pace
@tmhstyle2865 Жыл бұрын
I think something like +30s per km would be good like 4:15
@munkki2700 Жыл бұрын
@@tmhstyle2865 thanks. Just a bit slower than my marathon pace. I could handle that. Hard workout, need to start with less repeats like 5 or 6 maybe :)
@munkki2700 Жыл бұрын
I copied this training for 10k preparation and did 3x3km as 10km race pace with 1km float (40 sec slower). Was a good workout and took 2 days to recover so not too hard. So works also for shorter distances. For 21k then just slower speed and more reps
@tmhstyle2865 Жыл бұрын
@@munkki2700 you could also If you want to adjust to 10k Training do 6-7 Reps but only 1k

Non-native English speaker here. Can someone explain what float is, in this context? Is it a specific form of rest or recovery?

@@sweatelite Have you considered using one of those wireless clip-on microphones? There is a good chance that the breathing would ruin the recording, but maybe it worth a try.

Great workout idea ! Just wondering, is it better to walk or jog between long intervals ?
@christophermallard4804 Жыл бұрын
You should be doing the workout at paces that allow you to run the entire thing.
