You know someone is truly magical at what they do, when they make music so god damn emotional and amazing, yet they appear to be barely moving. A lot of less skilled guitarists would have made a meal of the frets and produced something not even halfway as good as this. John is in total control, super smooth, amazing, almost hypnotic to watch, and just totally, utterly, awesome.

Absolutely I'm so glad I discovered John 5 and the creatures. He is so confident he's not afraid to play any style of music. Not a lot of people are. Absolutely love this version. Love John 5s playing. When I heard the guitar verse @1:50 it blew me away and everything after that. Love how he stayed true to the solo and only added at the end. Also the rest of the band hats off!

I have completely fallen in love with your music John 5. Thank you for being so brave that you're not afraid to play any style of music. And a lot of people aren't because they think they will lose their fanbase. Which occasionally is valid... ok I think I've said basically the same thing on three different videos mostly on John fives official channel. So I think I will try and leave it there but I'm going to struggle lol. One of my comments on Nikki Sixxs interview with John 5 got highlighted , and also one of my comments on John 5s channel. What a buzz! I know Nikki when he's not too busy sometimes checks on his own Channel. So you never know it could have been him. #1 Reason I love John and his playing......regardless of what any half ass, egotistical, wannabe rockstar guitarists say, or actual Rockstar guitarists say for that matter, about country guitar playing and Flamenco, John knows it takes just as much if not more skill to play a guitar just as fast or faster with no distortion to cover up mistakes. John is probably one of the most well-rounded guitarists I've ever heard and the reason he's so good is because of his love for Country, BELIEVE THAT! Go home, play eruption 15bmp faster on your amp's first channel with absolutely no overdrive or distortion, see how ya do : )

Yep, being superfast and doing crazy arpeggios, shredding all over the place is one thing, but doing the same being perfectly clean, tight and with a "pure" tone without lots of distortion, delay and such, is almost an entirely different ball-game...

I still fail to see how can anyone still be saying that distortion covers up mistakes. Doing runs on a clean amp a missed note doesn't go past a kinda quiet "pop" but do that with heavy distortion and it becomes a really obnoxius harmonic. Even worse, the one thing that none of us should do is compare clean and distorted playing, because the nuances are radically different, same as the difference between playing acoustic and electric.
