I bought this album in the 70's not sure what I was getting. Needless to say this music is... PHENOMENALLY TIMELESS!

Just tuned in with a little "Mr. Nice Guy" and WoW!Those two trading fire with the bass foot creating a racing pace while the drums underpin all this with accents, sparks, rolling, driving force with no let up for either. The final round uniting those same notes from either side...! build to that crescendo ...Just about takes the breath away. Certainly to be an all time classic.

Listening to Jack DeJohnette on this tune I have to remind myself that crack had not yet been discovered :-) He's phenomenal here.

Почему особо не подчёркнуто, что композитор Jan Hammer??? Вообще-то Red&Orange как и Spectrum-73 это авторские идеи Jan Hammer, из которых задумывалось конструировать очередной альбом развалившегося Mahavishnu. Какие только знатные бездари не сделали себе имена и не воспользовались гением бедного Jan Hammer! (((
