Read the book after viewing the miniseries. The book is considerably more detailed of course. But the miniseries does a bang up good summary of our 2nd President and the awesome partnership he had with Abigail.

Put both index fingers on middle C, it's the key just before the two C# and D# keys in the middle of the piano. Strike it and move them both to your right without moving your back. Strike that key. Go to middle C again and go left as far as you can. This is your range. Most music should fall to it. Have fun and remember, if you don't make mistakes, we can't be humans... Try a thumb, index, 1st finger and 2nd finger exercise to work your fingers. Just six notes skipping the second key or in this case D. Come down to D and skip E, on and on until you've reached the Soprano C natural with your thumb. Put both hands together and wallah, practice begins... Get to Level III and you can note take. This prevents your music from being conscript by Tyranny. Level III pianists are all around! Good for the Harpsichord, Pianoforte and any keyboard 96 keys or less.
