John alite can't go through his history in every interview . Your only seeing a small portion of his experience. Anyone using the " rat" word should know John jr ( his boss )went into the FBI and proffered , gave a 302 statement . He did this in 2005. Johnny alite was sitting in a Brazilian jail fighting extadition to us . Alite was indicted in Tampa Florida with Ronnie one arm trucchio . Johnny was extradicted around 2007 or so after he received a copy of jr 302 . Ronnie one arm attorney was tied up on a separate case in NY and couldn't be in court for the start of Ronnie trial. Ronnie lawyer gave him permission to give his own opening statement to the court . Ronnie elocuted to the existence of the mob. Stated that sr was his boss and jr after . He stated 13 xs in his opening statement in his own words that jr and alite were in the drug bussiness together and that alite " was a loose cannon ". This is in trial transcripts. This is ratting , giving a 302 as jr did is ratting . As far as Johnny standing , jr Gotti brought Johnny to a sit down with bananno capo Tommy patera over a pot dealer named Michael Harragan . Harrigan had gone to patera and complained about jr being greedy. Alite was asked to leave , only because he wasn't made and it was sit down between capo from two separate families . Patera took harrigan and pot bussiness , jr was powerless because technically he couldn't go to his father because of the ban on dealing drugs. Johnny was pissed so he robbed patera stash house of 135 k right after. Everyone in neiborhood heard this. Jr bragged to patera that alite had 6 hits under his belt . I could go on about dinners at Alta donnas , ft Lauderdale , and a lot of other shit. One thing I can say he always had hot women with him and got everyone laid .

His maid is in a documentary on KZbin talking about how he would sit at the table for hours and eat a full course meal. Seems like he had the same mentality when it came to la cosa nostra also Paul wasn’t a tough guy and didn’t make his bones. So guys always had a problem taking directions from someone who wasn’t a gangster. He was rich and had many business connections but he wasn’t ideal because if he wasn’t a cousin he’s probably never be put into position as the boss.

Could he really have pulled that move in that situation? I realize that there was a chance that it would happen but it was somewhat slim. Commission case was on full swing, he knew he was going away, Neil had died, other bosses of Pauls age were also indicted, Roy had been dead for years allready and so was Pauls biggest muscle (allthough he still had Westies which were propably his most effective muscle at this point). I doubt that he would have been able to kill John, his brother(s), Carneglia bros, Boriello etc. etc. Cause killing just John wouldnt solve Gambino family rift. He would have needed to kill atleast 3 guys, maybe even more, in order to get family under his control again.

@joonaslehtonen79654 жыл бұрын
@@farzana6676 Yeah, thats what Paul propably would or even tried to do. But the question is did he have anymore power at that point? Who would have sided with him at that point? Commission trial was going on, few months from his death he would have been sentenced 70y in jail had he not been killed. Who would have sided with Paul now when his regime was coming down, those who sided with him and took actions against Gotti, even if they in 3 months would have been able to kill John, Frankie and few other guys, would have had to answer to all of Johns brothers and friends AFTER Castellano would be jailed... because had John been killed along with Angie, DeCicco or Gene or Sammy or someone from that faction would still be the next boss. Those who sided with Paul could side quickly with new boss BUT those who sided with Paul and striked against Gotti/DeCicco faction they surely would have been killed. Those who were with Paul from the beginning, ever since early 50s, they saw the signs and even if they didnt switch sides and seemed loyal, no one of them would seriously try to win the family back for Paul at this point anymore, they convinced Paul from their loyalty but kept stalling or even played both sides because they didnt want to betray their rabbi but they didnt wanna do anything serious to help Paul because soon being a 'Castellano loyalist' would be death sentence. Only way Paul could have make a move would have been if Chin or some other family would put their guys doing hits for him. Paul was captain of sinking ship at this point and your underlings act differently to your orders when your ship is safe and fine & they act differently when your ship is upside down and going to the bottom of the sea soon.
@farzana66764 жыл бұрын
@@joonaslehtonen7965 Sammy and Decicco were not even really in Gottis camp or Gotti loyalists. They were talked into being involved with the hit. Sammy even says he had a conversation with Decicco where they say if they're not happy with Gotti after 12 months, they'll whack him themselves. So don't expect too much objection from Sammy/Decicco if Big Paul whacked Gotti first. In fact I'm almost sure, if Big Paul gave Sammy the order to whack Gotti first, Gotti would have been whacked. The only real Gotti loyalists was his own crew and his own family. Those were the only people you could expect backlash from if Gotti got clipped. Other capos like Jimmy Brown, Toddo Aurello, Nino Gaggi, DB were all in Big Pauls camp or neutral.

Regardless of your opinions and personal feelings about the dude, he is right about whacking Paul Castellano. In the long run it was a bad move for the family because it lead to Gotti taking over and in the aftermath of his reign the Gambino family did lose a lot of its influence it had enjoyed in decades past. Only now in recent years has that family been able to stabilize and rebuild somewhat. That being said, Castellano brought a lot of his problems on himself by being too greedy and demanding a lot of tribute from his men, being aloof from the streets, and having an affair with his housekeeper while she lived under his roof with his wife and children.

The purpose of interview is to reveal abd expand more n a topic thats already known in this case.. but to get the boss name wring in the first place.. ahd to say “other mobs” in the title.. thats wrong.. lol
@bigal59215 жыл бұрын
El. Football1 Vlad even said something like “The Gotti Family and The Gambino Family” like if The Gottis had their own family lol. One of the biggest mob crews inside the Gambinos was Roy DeMeos crew they even had John Gotti shook. And even they were like ants to the Gambinos. Roy got found in a trunk of a car.

Seems like Alite and Sammy doing this tell it all for money. At least Michael Franceze is doing it for a good cause. He's a motivational speaker for schools and Churches. These two just want to tell their side of the story for money. How can you go around claiming to kill people and still not be dead or in jail. Everytime i see this guy or Sammy, i am disgusting at our Justice system. What a joke.

Showed how weak as piss most mobsters were that they let Gotti get away with whacking his own boss. Following him like sheep and seeing Gotti get rich and famous while the whole Gambino family let him away with it. A sad state of affairs.

Paul being whacked with the beginning of the descent for the Gambinos. Regardless, Paul was going to go to jail. So he was grooming the next successor. The next boss was supposed to be one Carlo Gambino's sons. I believe his name was Thomas Gambino. Unfortunately Paul was never able to nominate his successor. Gotti sr taking over leadership, which was a regression not progression to the family.

Last time i was in jail, i was put in the mob pod. I was like why? I'm not gambino. in there, one guy was talking to me saying hey you know gotti's nephew is in here. I said, Okay. I ain't got no probs with him. that happened in 85. i was 5. lol. However, he said, you know your name carries more weight than gotti's so giving you a heads up. In case he wants to act funny. we got your back. I'm like wow. I am related to paulie but i'm in san antonio, tx. It's diff here. He says, yeah that's why the family hid here in 85-86. I said, i remember. i was a kid and stayed at my house in the hood. He say's thats why your in here. lol. pretty smart because they never would have thought paulies family would be hiding in the hood in san antonio. All cause my last name is castellano. wow
