He was a lively soul and made everyone feel special, we played badminton in the WS Gym many times in the late 80s (with his friend Naseeruddin). we were just medical students back then and when we lost he would cajole us " Doctor Saab zor lagao!"

I watched Tom Sir's play in 2010 in Delhi and was mesmerized by his performance and stage presence. It became so difficult to approach him after the play was over as he was surrounded by people (almost everyone) who loved and adored him so much.

I have some wonderful memories of our travel to from Delhi to Lahore to participate in a theatre festival. Tom sir is now good health to heaven's lucky audience. Thanks for sharing it.

Jamie, I have watched your videos but this particular one about your late father in your uncle’s words moved me to tears and compelled me to go from a silent spectator to commenting. They spoke so much of the love he had for his brother and the dignity of coping with it and remembering him! Much love to all! Your uncle’s words and demeanor epitomize what appealed to me the most about American academia and Americans when I first moved here more than two decades ago as a student. I studied in the Midwest as well and while I live on the east coast now, I’ve a natural affection towards anyone from that part of the country.
