He was dancing with Mr. Brownstone. He also loved Punk Rock. I love he didn't answer the drug question.

This is great. He gets talked over more than you'd expect in the TV interviews. I know drugs but still. In this one he seems more comfortable.
@theitalianskunkwhisperer68435 жыл бұрын
Wow, the last caller asks "What's your drug of choice?" It shocked him for a second, I bet he blushed and then a little defensive "I don't tell people that"..then trying to cover up "i smoked pot once" "i drank once" "I do whipped cream cans" and kept on it. It shook him up a little and it's so ironic and crazy it was the last question. A great short rare interview. Rest in peace John I loved you man!

think in 1996 Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Bob Gail and Dan Aykroyd should have been re-united to make a sequel to 1941 in which Aykroyd writes it with Zemeckis and Gail for John Belushi and Jim Belushi stars in with him and Zemeckis directing it.

Never heard this interview before. This is really good. Is there a book about him that is worth reading? If so, what is the title of it? Thanks for sharing this. May his beautiful soul rest in peace.

You sure this is from 1979 & not 1978? Cuz The Blues Brothers played with The Dead on 12/31/78 at Winterland.
@voxpox18506 жыл бұрын
It's definitely not from 79. And the part where Belushi says what he thinks of Boston was skipped over.
@keithchristopherkosiewicz65236 жыл бұрын
This is from December 1978. 1941 was filmed 23 October 1978 - 16 May 1979 and the Wiz (an all-negro musical version of ''Wizard of Oz'') was released October 24, 1978. Also 'Rubber Biscuit' is from 'Breifcase Full of Blues' which was released November 28, 1978. He was probably there to promote the Blues Brothers album. www.studiowner.com/essays/essay.asp?books=0&pagnum=162

Interestingly, while SNL was not cancelled, Lorne Michaels was fired in 1980.

Imagine a universe where Belushi and Farley lived and did a movie together.😞

john belushi, was actor, singer, musician, chris farley was just a screamer, and very stupid huge man, chris farley wanted to be a new john belushi... i t think, farley was not funny...he was crazy man who wanted to follow belushis footsteps
@kungfew13965 жыл бұрын
@@joni5405 They were both great and very different, you personally might not like Farley but you would be dishonest to say he didn't make millions laugh and have a global fanbase.

It's a shame the fans didn't ask him good questions. Sounds like they are all spaced out. But hey that was the times. Does sound like he has a breathing problem like he is trying to catch a breathe. The way he was working SNL and movies in his mind the coke must have helped. At that time 79 into 80 81 drs said coke was just as ok as cigarettes and alcohol . Different times.
