I just love watching the interview of this man. Love watching his matches.... And am not at all concerned whether he wins or loses! And I know there are so many others like me, who think in the similar fashion. How many arm wrestlers are there in the world who have reached at such a level where their current wins or loses don't really matter anymore? Their reputation and legacy is such that nothing can destroy it ever? This is one of the reasons why I admire John so much. He despite having such a great and enviable career in arm wrestling is always so down to earth... No drama, nothing. One just has to look at his arm wrestling journey from the early 90's up til now and anyone will be amazed how this guy still manages to pull the top arm wrestlers of the world! Just some time back, coach ray in one of John's interviews mentioned to John how he(John) used to demolish his opponents back in his prime! To which John instantly said... Not demolished. I was lucky enough to win those matches! Can someone imagine this? 🙂🤷 Can anyone imagine devon speaking like that? Though devon is also a legend himself. There's just no one like John! Hands down. He's praised all over the world for a reason...

I agree this is his most natural competition weight. But, he hasn't been maintaining this weight for a while now. He crash dieted, and completely depleted himself to make the weight. I've made weight many times for a wrestling competition. The water weight comes back quickly, and the muscle will replenish the glycogen stores, but the endurance and efficiency is always hit or miss. Especially at his age.

@@levonschaftin3676 its easy to spot steroid users - they tend to get big rapidly and loose muscles and strength rapidly as well, John has his 43-44 cm arms for how many decades? He doesn't change, that's why i think he is clean. Even if John has been or consider starting it won't be dosages of Cyplenkov or Levan's.. That's why none of them will have that longevity in sport, these are all temporary results while on a gear, they are unstable. That's why Denis is off the gear once he wins his next opponent, he will stay clean for another few months until the next one, his body mass keeps changing rapidly all the time
