39:40 John's last double elimination tournament was in 2021 at the John Brzenk cup before his match with Devon and he won.

Michael Jordan's trainer used to count every step Michael made during games and practice. He also recorded how many times he pivoted left or right, what leg he jumped with, what leg he landed with; all to tailor the perfect workout program to make sure his body was balanced and properly trained. Meanwhile, the goat of arm wrestling has no idea even about basic nutrition. That should tell you something about the state of arm wrestling back in John's day. Imagine if this guy took his sport even halfway seriously.

Sevan, if you haven’t checked out foundations back training, do it. I always do it when my back is funky I do it and it works wonders.

Was John giving his change to poor Richey at that F1 race?

Was it not Engin's idea to have Alexey make a comeback against John?
@softwashscience10 ай бұрын
Could have been but Engin’s ideas are from the feeling he gets from being so close to the community. He is so closely in tune with the community and the fan base that he just gives the people what they want to see in that match was some thing that people wanted to see for 2 decades.

Has stemcell therapy helped John at all? He is wearing the T-shirt, but has it really helped? It doesn't sound like it...

I think in a small way yes. I follow John closely and will say he does have a bunch of wear and tear on his right arm. Initially he got the first treatment and was kind of like that didn’t work then I’m sure after communicating with Devon a little bit more he was convinced to go back but I think it had been like six months but since his second treatment I think he has now had Five or six in the last 6 months. I believe he was going to be going to Vegas this past weekend for another one if I’m not mistaken. So it seems he is stepping it up and taking it seriously now and maybe starting to believe in it and with what he’s got going on I think it’s something that Should start to really have a positive effect by the time he’s 60 years old. I think his birthday is in the summer so we’ll see. I really really hope it helps him tremendously. I think if his arm mainly his shoulder started to finally feel decent we could see a 60-year-old John Brzenk do something extra special. John is going to be #1 in the world at his weight class at 60 yrs old I bet he takes one more shot at 209 and I think he will win that and one more shot at Todd Hutchins or whoever is at that weight as well. Seems like the last match we saw John in the NEED to win mode was against Alexy.
@LeahRobb10 ай бұрын
@@softwashscience He did amazing against Alexey, but Todd was clearly too much, and he would have definitely liked to beat Sasho, but perhaps he was more eager to try the weight cut than to win. Btw. I reached out to John 2 years ago about painting a biographical portrait of him. First he said yes, then said he wanted to stick to what he knew how to do. I think it might have been connected to feeling awkward at the crowdfunding side of it. I still would like to try painting him, but hey ho. Until he says yes, I have started arm-wrestling myself 😂 I always was quite strong so it isn't completely weird.

@@LeahRobb very cool yeah I dabble with it every year. It’s just a tendon pain for me is so bad it affects every other area of my life and as a business owner I can’t even do my job when it flares up so it makes it extremely difficult. I think I’m gonna start training again and just gonna have to go 30 to 60% and just make it long play. I’m the same as you I’ve always been extremely strong, so that’s a good thing, but it also makes it possible for me to put a lot of strain on my tendons.
@LeahRobb10 ай бұрын
@@softwashscience Ah. Sorry to hear that and yes, I am not sure my tendons/ligament are proportionally strong. I am injury prone in my joints. But guess what, I ache all over right now just preparing for an exhibition opening! 🤣 For two reasons; Aarhus has had a collosal snowfall and -7oC - and that made my bike journey an hour long extreme sport. Plus, setting up an exhibition with a built in Labyrinth is very physical. All sorts of lugging around and screwing in from awkward positions. Anyway, the opening is in 6 hrs and I still have things to do so the workout/body breakdown continues 🤪
