i'm an arm wrestling noob, but I can tell brzenk's style is different. most arm wrestlers seem to give quick bursts of energy to overwhelm the opponent's defenses/offenses. right before a burst, they seem to release some of their muscle tension, which creates a small window of weakened defenses. bzenk not only exploits this when his opponents do it, but he seems to use a muscle contraction technique that never releases muscle tension. he's applying a continuous pressure, never lets up on it, and then exploits his opponent when they let up on their pressure. it's like a mechanical ratchet where it only allows movement in one direction, and never back towards the other direction. i'm sure brzenk has some genetic predispositions that allow him to use this technique effectively. that's difficult to contract all your muscles like that and keep them contracted continuously without succumbing even for a split second to the lactic acid burning.
