Devon currently competing at the strongest he's ever been though. He just cannot recover as quick as before he's said it himself. John however claims he's not as quick, possibly not as strong but says his hand and cupping strength is still as strong. So basically Devon has the upper hand but breznk still has crazy top roll strength and endurance. Both 10/10 table iq. It's coming down to hand strength and wether or not Devon pancakes up to 300 again

I think John thinks he was setup in 2008. I know he was really unhappy with the reffing before the first go even. I’ve never seen him that unsettled. Just a guess tho. That match wasn’t a one sided as it looked. John had the buckle before the fairer strap on the first round. There was no way he was winning from that starting position. He stonewalled Devon in a hook the second round. Devon worked on blowing up John’s hand inside and it was over after that. John even said he doesn’t think he could ever beat Devon over six rounds .

All that rest has allowed his body to recover from all the injuries. He knew he was coming back, he was just waiting until he felt healed. I think guys like Dave Chaffee and Michael Todd are both stronger than Devon physically, but Devon's a better arm wrestler than either of them. Levan is definitely a talented arm wrestler as well but I don't think many people would disagree that Devon has the higher table IQ and way more experience. He can compensate for SOME of the strength difference. If he bulks up to 300+ (bigger than he was against Todd) I think he has a chance against Levan. I'd still say Levan is the favorite to win, but I wouldn't count Devon out of the fight, and I'm positive he'll do better than Chaffee did at the very least.

I think that no matter what happens, nothing will make John embarrass himself... even if Devon 6-0 him. John is the GOAT. He has achieved everything in this sport and has nothing to prove, to anyone. Devon is in a much better shape than John right now. John isn't in the same great shape he was 5-10 years ago. Not only because of his age, but because he wasn't as active in the sport overall compared to Devon. I love both of them. Big fan of John and Devon, but I don't see John having a realistic chance in this match. I've been surprised before, but I just don't see it happening. Regardless, I just hope it will be an amazing and entertaining match between 2 legends that everybody will enjoy. His wrist was even bent i think on one pull, even though he impressively won it. Then chance got beat easily by i forgot who after. Seems 2 months is hopeless idk. I dont know much more about it but i wish john would be top shape prepared for such a challenge. I think he could do it then possibly. I dont want see his comeback halted so soon with a bad loss. Devon knows he ain't proving anything by beating John in this stage of his career. John is way past his prime and he'll never be the same so a win for Devon is not impressive. This is more for making the sport more popular and to get people talking. I don't know if Devon ever beat prime John, but John will forever go down as the greatest of all time. He just accomplished too much in such a long period of time and he destroyed guys that where way bigger than he was.
