i know the backing voices ruins the song in a "formal" kind of way because it doesnt sound right sometimes. I think Byrons backing vocals are great cause his voice matches well with Johns, Nicky was lacking a lot in this performance which if he didnt sing here I think it could've made it better

I think the album this song came from was heavily inspired by the Chilis. He doesn't necessarily sing like Anthony Kiedis but the melodies and rhythm of the vocal parts are a lot like the chilis.
