He was always a surprise andcwas my great delight whenever he appeared at the fabled Parisian Room in Los Angeles with Red Holloway back in 70’s.

FANTASTIC - thank you so much! It's unbelievable how truly GREAT Ernie Andrews is - and this trio was so locked in, responsive, and ready for him: Every note from the bass singing through clearly with such joyous buoyancy, this new young master drummer who will never be out of work - and Eric Reed, of whom I'm already a great fan, so polished in each detail - every move he made, responding to Mr. Andrews so spontaneously so very often throughout the show - AND I MEAN EVERY SINGLE MOVE HE MADE- came off polished and amazingly brilliant. As for Mr. Andrews, it was as if Stanley Turrentine was swinging the band - and the constant cry of the blues - communicating through every vocal gesture - is overwhelming. It's only when you hear this that you can tell what's lacking in even the very best of "the rest"! Ernie Andrews is the greatest living singer - AND THAT IS A FACT!
