Ain’t it Grand …. To discover a new collecting passion. For me it was Great Britain….then the Machin Madness hit HARD. I dove deep into the Adminware web site but…found it alien as they use different color names. Then I found Stoneham Machin catalog…then the Degam handbook….then had to learn the metric system then discovered a Stanley Gibbons QEII Specialized and my head exploded! I’m exhausted…..plating Penny Reds are helping me recover! That and reorganizing my US collection has calmed me down a bit. Though I wonder if I should invest in a duel shortwave/long wave lamp………😮 or maybe chuck it and start with King Charlie from the ground level…..Aaahhhhh

They do also have an English version of the NVPH (Dutch association of stamp dealers) catalogue coming out sometimes. It’s actually fairly specialized (well the one I have) when it comes to the earlier stamps and plates and errors and such.

This is definitely one catalogue that you should take the values with a pinch of salt, since it’s put together by the people selling the stamps haha.

I don't specifically collect them, but they are inadvertently included in mixed world stamp albums I presently buy. I would like to order them somewhat and enjoy them before deciding what to do with them. Thanks so much for another excellent video. I always learn something new in each episode. :)

Hello to all dear philatelists. I have a specialized catalog of postage stamps of the Netherlands from 2007, and the prices listed in it are almost twice as high as in the more modern catalog in this video. I have a question - how did it happen and what is happening. Perhaps one of the philatelists from the Netherlands can explain this to me. I will be grateful for the answer. Valentine
