Hello Don, it seems as if the loop has caught us again. Not much to say about John Conlee that hasn't been said recently. As far as this song, sadly to many people don't seem to have an "Old School" mentality these days. Also I've kinda been hinting for the last few days so now I'm just going to come straight out and ask, is Kacey Musgrave's " Burn One With John Prine" still on the list? This song was requested about a month after you informed me the Kacey song was on the list so now I'm beginning to think that with all the special dedications and so forth the Kacey song might have fallen by the wayside. If so that is fine, I'll just know to quit looking for it to pop up any day. Appreciate all you do thanks and everyone have a good day.---#UTRCM

A good song. I like John Conley. The idea reminds me of Garth Brooks' Unanswered Prayers. I've been to a few reunions. We all fit back in the same slots as we were in 50 years ago. Doubt if I'll go to another.

John had a treasure trove of songs, as you're finding out. Two more you could gaive a listen to are 'Back Side of Thirty' and 'Friday Night Blues.' His voice used to be one that I could mimic remarkably-well, back before my voice went out. How about looking into Mel McDaniel? 'Real-Good Feel-Good Song,' 'Big Ole Brew,' and 'Black Sheep' are three of his best.

I really enjoy John's music, he has such a distinctive voice, and makes such great song choices. "Rose Colored Glasses", "I Don't Remember Loving You" , "Miss Emily's Picture", "Lady Lay Down" I've listen to quite a few of his albums and I can't recall a single "Stinker" in his choices of songs.

Great song and great video, as usual. I'd like to request another great story telling song that, in my opinion, should've been a bigger hit. It painted a great picture of my childhood, and many others that grew up in the 70's and 80's. If you could find the time to do "I Watched It All On My Radio" by Lionel Cartwright, that'd be great. Keith Whitley's version is actually a cover the original was done way back in the 50's by Lefty Frizell and was covered in the 70's by Merle Haggard.---#UTRCM
