Two things I love about Hellblazer: firstly the writers (especially Mike Carey) use real London locations and not the obvious ones. You’d have to know the city, and it’s places I’ve lived or travel regularly. Gives you the feeling like you might actually walk into him! Also in the last Vertigo issue it turns out most of his magic is just made up junk. He’s just so confident and ballsy even demons believe it. I’ve been watching since the beginning of Back Issues and have been wanting a Hellblazer arc from the start. So thank you for doing this!

Whoah, just caught the Newcastle bit at 20:00 and in case anyone's curious, Newcastle is where Sting was born IRL. @@ultimate_lance that's really wierd cos I read it today.....it was OK....i liked the first few issues and the whole Clark Kent in reality and how he is affected by just having the same name as an iconic hero in comics was really interesting. But there was something missing for me as a superman fan.....probably because it was set in the real world as with superman I kind of prefer how he affects people more so then how people affect him and with this comic it didn't really show any discussion on how he made people realise that people with powers are real and whether or not he can be trusted. It wouldve been cool if he inspired others to take from the comics to be heroes.....like he mentioned Chicago to be cold and not meaning weather so I'd imagine that would take gothams place....although i think there's a comic about a kid in real life been batman.....i think....

@@ultimate_lance ow ye that's right....his family at the end....ye I suppose I need to read it more than once to fully get it. Ye I remember him saying why he wanted to hide and all and he really didn't embrace what superman is all about....it wouldve been interesting if he kind of represented all the people who misunderstood superman but in the form of his having the same name as clark Kent....but then through obtaining his powers and learning what it means to be responsible he learns what superman represents and embraces both the name and powers.....but like I said I need another reading or two so he might be had all of that
