As a life long Crue head, I'm not ashamed to say, the 94 album with John Corabi was THE BEST album they ever made. I think he got one hell of a raw deal. I feel like when the album didn't do "Dr. Feelgood" numbers... (but was not a flop by ANY stretch of the imagination) the label, and maybe even the band, pointed the finger at John. In hindsight we know the label was pushing for them to bring Vince back... It just sucks that Nikki didn't have the balls to stay the course and do another album with Corabi. The only reason that album didn't OUTPERFORM "Feelgood" in my opinion is because of the musical climate at the time. The album came out right in the middle of that whole Seattle invasion, no disrespect to those bands because I absolutely love a lot of them, but that's why the album didn't sell better than it did... It was like the whole world had just thrown all those bands in the dustbin, and it wouldn't have mattered WHAT they put out at the time, be it with Vince, John, or anyone else, it just wasn't going to do those big multi-platinum sales. Not in that time period. I would number one, loved to have seen what they could have done next together, and number two, I was so disappointed that I never got the chance to see them live with JC. Don't get me wrong, I love Vince Neil, but theres just NO comparison when it comes to who's the better vocalist,, and add to that the fact that the band got so much heavier with him playing Rhythym guitar. I don't give a damn what anybody says... Motley 94 is one of the best, most well produced, most well written albums of the 1990s. Bar none.

I met Robert (Angora drummer) at the swimming pool in this apartment complex in Hollywood, we both lived at. He asked me if I knew where to find some good weed? I said you're in luck, I just moved down here from Humboldt County, Northern California. Everyone knows it's the best in the US. They we're getting ready to do a show at the Troubadour and asked me if I wanted to help? I was happy to help. These guys were good... I mean really fucking good. One of the guys put John Corabi's harmonica in with a bag of weed And when John went to use it on stage, he pulled it away from his mouth and spit because he doesn't smoke weed? At least that's the way I remember it. I think Steve is the name of the guy behind that blunder? Lol "Angora" simply means long-haired... animal!

Cinder Road is from Maryland and is named after the street someone in the band lived on. I grew up in Baltimore and they had some small success for a short period of time.

@Ryan Roxie Official how crazy that one of my new fave KZbin Channels is yours. A lifelong little L.A. Suburb Gen Xer rocker chick. BUT just realizing how connected that whole scene really was. From band mates, to producers, engineers, rehabs, women, drugs, family, friends, hobbies. I have a whole new appreciation to my heroes and crushes. Sad though you're not here in CA. But I GET why you left. Thanks for awesome nostalgic content.

Hi Ryan, how are ya? I'm gonna go ahead & say it. When I think of John, I think of Vince. And, how Vince is not going to be able to sustain his vocals during this upcoming stadium tour. I'm not inferring anything. I'm just thinking & wondering how this is going to play out. @ 3:33 Ryan, don't know if you're being satirical but I've never seen it either. Also, think I was the last person on the planet that had never seen ET. Think finally saw it in the early 2000's.

Nikki has to be negative about Corabi. With Corabi, they were possibly the best band ever and made music that is still relevant today. And he has to live with the decision to go back to Vince. The time he kicked MTV out of that interview was the end of Motley Crue. Before then MTV had Hooligans Holiday in HEAVY rotation. After... Crickets. With the grunge movement, Crue was set to rule, perfectly. And then it all went away. But he can't own that. He had to shift it to Corabi for the reason the album and tour didn't do as expected. Not that is 5 seconds he personally destroyed their advertising.

I wish John was more open to the idea of playing with Motley Again.. I think right now would be the time they could really get some tracktion. And lets face it, while I do respect vince for not lipsyncing like we've seen many others doing lately... his performances are getting really bad, it makes me sad to see it because I remember how bad ass they were when I saw them in 1990.
