THEY WHERE GREAT i was never a cowsills fan i was a kid back then, but i never payed them any mind i just figured they where a second string osmonds type kid band thing iremember the partridge famiy was based on them which wasnt a plus to me now fast forward thirty years, im a professional musician., and im playing a gig where alsso playing are THE COWSILLS, im like YOURE KIDDING!!!! THE KIDDIE BAND FROM THE SIXTIES!!!, IM EXPECTING THEM TO BE A JOKE they come on and guess what? THEY ARE UNBELIEVABLY GREAT, I WAS STUNNED, THEY WHERE SOOO INCREADIBLY GOOD i have never seen a better put together performance, when they did that old hit of theirs, the rain the park tune? I HAVE NEVER HEARD A SOUND LIKE THAT, you could have knocked me over with a feather, i tell people now im a huge cowsills fan, my musician buddys dont believe me i tell the you have to hear what they can do live, its shocking

Who ever reads this, you need to watch John Cowsill, Vicki Peterson Cowsill (who sang with Bangles) and Bill Mumy (aka Will Robinson "Lost in Space") sing "Dear Prudance" live..Which is an old Beatles song. Not bad for 2 men over 60 and a lady in her late 50s. Good job!

I was a teenager when the Bangles really hit big, and I remember saying that when I become an adult, I'm gonna marry Vicki Peterson. John Cowsill won. Still great version of the song. I knew John was a great drummer, but I didn't realize he was such a great vocalist.

Well, three out of four of them do. Bob, Paul and Susan currently tour with Susan's husband on drums. As of April of 2023 John no longer tours with the Beach Boys, so it would be great if he could join his siblings for a few gigs.

I just discovered the new group that John Cowsill, Vicki, and Bill Mumy (yes, from Lost in Space) formed called Action Skulls! Their music is really very good (I thought with the group name, Action Skulls, it would be hard rock, but it's not). I believe most of the songs are originally written/collaborated by the three of them. There are samples on KZbin.

At first I thought, what is John Cowsill into heavy metal music, which is not my cup of tea. I am so glad I didn't let the group's name deter me, because their music is actually very, very good.
