flyingtonyw Thanks for your comment. It's been a long time since this was recorded, but it sounds like I played it in C# (C fingering with capo on first fret - lets pretend it's in C for simplicity.) Picking out the melody in C initially, starts on a D note on 2nd string (pinky on fret) over the C shape. First four notes are D E B C (Fifteen Summers). Next phrase repeats the first two notes over the C shape (And you're...), then chord is A major, with melody again on 2nd string B C# D E (open 1st) - this is "trying to tell me". That's the start of it, anyway, and gives the overall feel. The chords of the verse are, then, from the beginning: C A Dm G CaddG . These verse sections are linked by an F and G. When it changes to the bridge section, the F and G are replaced as links by A and A flat (before leading into the "But I can't tell you" section. That section's chords are F Em F C G, repeated, but with an extra C on the 'me' of 'put a word in for me' That's most of the song. There is a tricky bit in the middle (heartstrings just need tuning - great line BTW) , where there's a B flat on the word 'heartstrings' descending to an A. This is followed by a Dm, and there's an ascending bass line on the A string under the Dm, in the 'you can't wait, you wanna play' section, ending in a G chord, and reverting to earlier chord sequence. That's most of it. Hope this helps.
