John Curry's artistry and elegance are still unsurpassed more than 40 years later. And not a quad to be seen (a jump that invariably looks ugly to my eye). So much sheer beauty and still so missed.

@@BoulderMamacita Exactly, so much has been lost with todays crop of skaters. All dash and frantic flailing of arms, all splendid beause of those ugly quads. I can't watch skating anymore and I go back to before John!

I was watching Robin Cousins the other day and in one of his programs he did this high, graceful jump that was so elegant--I re -watched several times--it was so beautiful. Robin is so tall that all his jumps look good but that single was out of this world!
