All good reasons. I have the utmost respect for someone as famous as all members of Queen to be able to become a good Husband & Father. And for a person to be able to say I’m rich enough is just almost unheard of. All WONDERFUL REASONS!!! Respectable Reasons!!! As a matter of fact,,, I’m all my 66 yrs. I have seen these reasons before and I completely understand his reasoning. It would be almost impossible to have a large family and this kind of job at the same time. The band excelled because of the talent of ALL of them. John is missed however he needs to do what was/is right for him and his family. Love and family is always first. Enjoy your life John, we miss you too.

Unlike so many tragic "wannabes" of today's generation that chase after the cameras, and crave publicity, not everyone (I'm Glad To Say) can be tarred with the same brush. John Deacon who is DEFINITELY A SOMEBODY, being an integral member of one of the best British Rock bands England has produced, wanting to live a quiet life away from the limelight..... that is a big ask, but he has managed to maintain that piece & quiet he craves so much, and why not? He has worked hard and worked with the best and produced a fantastic legacy of work that he & his fellow bandmembers can be hugely proud of, and his healthy fortune has allowed him that luxury and good for him!! I have to admit I and many others, after the sad demise of Freddie were ( and still am ) of the same opinion that the band isn't Queen without Freddie, but despite what others may think or say, both Rodger & Brian have managed to keep the band going, it's still Queen only a different version of it. I really hope John Deacon is living a very healthy and happy life, the guy has been there, he's lived and bought every t-shirt, I hope he is enjoying this quiet next chapter of his remarkable life, lots of love & Best Wishes to you John!!

I don't think either he or Freddie Mercury wanted to continue in this rut. Album - tour, album - tour. They probably relied on studio work. There probably would have been discussions with Brian May and Roger Taylor. After Freddie Mercury's death, Queen was over for him. It was clear to him that one could only work productively with all members; the future would show that he was right. John Deacon was never as addicted to applause as they were. He also had a relationship and children who were important to him and to whom he was important.
