John Dee - The Book of Soyga - Occultism and Cryptography - Tables of Soyga & The Liber Loagaeth

Among the first questions Dr. John Dee poses to the angel Uriel are those about the mysterious "Book of Soyga." Specifically, Dee was concerned with a series of 36 tables filled with seemingly random letters. Perhaps, they were filled with the language of Adam but the book came with a dire warning: Dee would die only a few years after decoding it. Following Dee's death the text went missing only to be rediscovered in the 1990s and the tables were successfully decoded. What are the secrets behind the code and how do they relate to the Enochian Liber Loagaeth? How did modern cryptanalysis solve at least part of the mystery?

Its a graveyard on KZbin, surprisingly, not many videos on the topic and the ones that are available are all the true and faithful version. It took a while to get used to John dees chicken scratch in MS. Sloane 3677. And the concept of the four gates in 3191 has only begun to make sense... one thing I found is that the use of the tables and all of its one work. Hard to explain but I believe the tables in 3189 are read according to the victory root (MS Sloane 3191.)

I have agonized over Loagaeth for many years! I agree the title given for each Table is likely some sort of keyword - though I emphasize "likely", as it is only my assumption. A further assumption on my part is that the 48 Angelical Keys are also intended for the decryption of each Table. How they and the titles work together, if at all, is quite beyond me. I've also tried to figure out what each Table represents. There are several clues (both in Loagaeth and in the 48 Keys) that they, like the Tables of Soyga, should be associated with astrological forces. However, I have yet to crack any pattern in how they should be associated. But because of that you have this interesting mix of like the seriousness of the angelic language being revealed, but then he just asks him about treasure, or what color the language should be, or about his favorite book. This book soyga means زايجه same word in Arabic and farsi, it is old knowledge that was taken from the old Indian books and rewritten and developed further by Persian/Farsi and Arabic scholars. This book have complete and identical verses from other famous book, like the book of “Ahmad al-Buni” and the book of the Solomon seals “العهود السليمانية” and the book of crafts and invocation which “aleister crowley” tried to do and failed like all people who tried to do it, our of greed and seeking power over very powerful and old beings and got possessed and lost this life eventually in a bad way. The book have different letters like the letters of the brethren of purity it has good, bad and ugly so you need to understand that this is like an encyclopedia and not a manual for you to understand and decode. And don’t worry about decoding it or translating it this version is already simple and doesn’t tell you enough for you to finish anything, the diagrams where you extract the names are mathematically correct but without proper knowledge you won’t be able to make the names, the hours and the times for each name and planet actually most the names in the Latin language are taken from Farsi, Arabic and Syriac language so the names and the pronunciation of is incorrect as they translated the names or most of it based on meaning and not vowels, if you are not fluent in the old languages you will not understand it, like the name alshada is actually pronounced ” Aal shaddaay” which is the powerful in Hebrew but in Arabic and farsi it is “Al shadid” الشديد so yes don’t worry about translating it unless you spent a lifetime studying this knowledge and the old languages, finally you should know the rules or zodiacs, the nature’s dry, wet, cold and hot and the nature of the letters, this book is a like a PHD thesis and most people here are learning how to read the alphabet so I would suggest you don’t waste your time in it specially if you want to acquire some special forces on knowledge, you will probably get yourself killed or go crazy before you remotely go near acquiring any powers or knowledge. Finally if you haven’t delt with high standing entities and you managed somehow to recall them or invoke them once you see them you will go crazy without the proper training and conditioning to see and communicate with such beings which takes at least few years. I would recommend books about herbals, signs and numbers and understanding natural spirits and helping others through thoughts and meditations, cuz you can accomplish much more through those books without the need of long years and immense knowledge in different languages and structural understanding of the arcane knowledge, this is just my humble advice being a scholar and researcher in this field for over 30 years and fluent in 3 old languages in addition to English and translated and restructured over 10,000 different letter and manuscript in different languages regarding this knowledge, working for some of the most well-known Universities, museums and research centers. A person may mark down an experience with any entity, but no unfallen angel or light being would ever deliver what would be objectively false. The unfallen angels or light beings would certainly convey of mathematical, linguistic, and other perfection that even goes beyond the capability of what humans can reproduce. For these reasons, we definitely can say there is a psychological role in the Enochian material, but there are reasons to doubt that it was purely psychedelic mind states. We can also say to be careful of ambiguity in the form before judging its meaning; which may contain meanings beyond the receivers.

Not that I would know, but I always felt they were some kind of sieve cypher. Given the astrological scale as to how to implement, sort, orient the sieve temporally. However, since I was never certain what the overlays were, much less how to implement them, had to let that one go. The question is: did Dee have the overlays? and are they somehow still extant. I'm fascinated by Dee's work with Kelley (I've got the Kevin Klein three volume set and other works concerning this), and I'm desperately curious about Hickman as your mentioning him is the first I've heard!

Sadly not much - there are a few sessions in TFR (and in the recent Klein edition) mostly featuring Raphael. Dee ultimately felt that the sessions - which lasted much longer than those with Kelly - were basically unsuccessful. Though, I'm not sure what would have constituted success considering that basically nothing that came out of the Kelly sessions came to pass.
