Great to see Christy's Dad out and about! He certainly does seem like a man that's hard to hold down! I love his 110TLB. I wanted one of those so badly when they first came out I could taste it. I think they would still make a terrific machine to have around the farm or homestead. Great to see it in action on your channel! Now off to Tractor House... :)

So glad to see Bobby out enjoying the fresh air and over seeing the projects. God Bless him. Watching you pull those trees out Tim at almost an idle is what I miss about my 33R power reverser. That thing was amazing at the power it had at low rpm compared to my 2025R that needs to be screaming to get the power needed to get the job done. And the extra fuel it uses because it's running so fast.

Glad your Father-in-law could get out of the house to give direction! I've never run a backhoe, but my neighbor that's buying my old house offered to let me use his Case fullsize backhoe to dig stumps out and level the area for my barn, so I may take him up on it for no reason other than getting these stumps/roots out. I'll likely still do the leveling with my Kioti or one of my dad's tractors with a blade.

All the JD 110's I've ever found always sell at a premium price. Can be hauled with a half ton pick up and most usually have few hours. I bought my JD 310G TLB for about half the price of a similar condition JD 110 series TLB.

After seeing the 110 and looking at dads old 410 had wondered a few times about repainting the 1025R in JD industrial yellow. Thought that would have been a fun sight to see a 1025R in his elders color.

Also can relate to what you said about different tractors. Major difference between controls on the 260 backhoe and the 410. The levers themselves do the same function it’s the 410’s hydraulic power able to go faster. On both machines I like to ease in with the controls not be in a hurry and shake the machine. All the years dad dug trenches and holes for phone companies and putting in manholes he said there’s no need to be in a hurry while digging. He said when your digging in a hurry that’s when mistakes happen like hitting underground lines and pipes

The 110 was the best tlb they made. Incredible breakout strength, smooth hydro movements and good visibility, all the way around, including to the bucket. Just a little sluggish if you wanted to run it up and down the road. The 110 made with a 50hp turbo Yanmar engine opposed to the 41 or 43 hp it did would have made it even better. It’s a shame they stopped making them.

We had a weird septic system where the black water went into the first tank and then traveled to the next one and then pumped it back up to a series of pipes but the water was clean. Of course when we moved in none of that was working the pumps were worn out and shut off. So while we were getting the first tank by the house pumped out the guy said he knew a guy who could eliminate the whole bottom half and just hook a large pipe and run it across the back yard and the water was allowed to seep out. So this older than me guy shows up with his grandson and he starts digging a trench across the back. So I stood out there for most of the time but it was very hot and so I went into the house. It wasn't 10 minutes and the grandson came knocking on the door for money that they got it finished. So instead of me walking down there to see we paid him. Later on I walked down there and I got pissed because he didn't fill the trench in like he said he was going to do. He won't get my recommendation from me for someone else who needs help.

Is it my imagination or do you run most of your tractors, regardless of who owns them, at just more than idle?
@TractorTimewithTim
@TractorTimewithTim 5 күн бұрын
Didn’t need more than idle with this 110tlb. Lots of hydraulic flow. The 1025r was running higher throttle. I run a 1025r at full throttle lots of the time. I run ANY machine full throttle on a mower, or other PTO attachment.
