The first step in restoring a field is looking up the correct infield and warning track dimensions. Dimensions can be found in the appropriate rule book. The second step is measure and mark the correct edge locations using line paint. Only then should machine work begin. Kudos to Rockhill for volunteering to correct what appears to be serious case of neglect!

Makes me want a tractor that much more. That tiller spins against the direction your driving. What are those called?
@RockhillfarmYT4 жыл бұрын
Definitely the best thing I’ve purchased. I use it every single day except that right now it’s at the John Deere dealership getting service and some new hose brackets for the third function I’m not sure if it’s a trick of the camera or if I’m misunderstanding but the tiller spins down so if it throws a rock it throws it back away from the tractor

Did you ever do that ball field maintenance Video? I'm trying to restore a field here in eastern Canada and am looking for as much info as I can. We tilled it first and raked the sod off. What's the best long term method? Does a fella till and take again before compacting? Or just Harrow and grate for the season and stay on top of it in fall and spring?
@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
I did not but I will have one out soon. Shortly after this video the field lease expired and we did not renew which is a long story I am not an expert at field maintenance. Just doing my best I did just accept a job to strip, grade and level a local high school field. I will have a good group of guys helping with it and it should make a good video Thanks for watching

@@RockhillfarmYT thanks for the reply!! We're doing a little league field in our community that was last used for softball probably 10 years ago. We tilled it, raked that off, and I'm on the fence on wether to till it again and put more sweat in before compacting, or just compacting and just managing the grass. In your landscaping experience, how does one build a long term desert, surrounded by grass!? I know grardening the answer is till, sprout, remove.

Hey Brock, Pat here , have you ever broken a shear bolt on that Frontier Rotary tiller of yours ?...Is it a bitch to replace....I'm struggling with mine & wondering if there is an " Easier way" to get to this pin...Thanks in advance everyone ! pc
@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
I broke it twice even though it shouldn’t break because I have a slip clutch on there Mine has a little flap that pivots out of the way and then you can rotate the PTO shaft until the bolt is under that flap. It was fairly easy from my memory the first time I did it. Right now my PTO shaft is sitting in the Quanset Hut because I need to go get a bolt for it. I had a video over a year ago where I brush hogged 49 acres and I showed the bolt replacement in that video
