Hey Mike, couldn't have asked for a nicer stretch of weather to get field work and crops planted.. Keep up with the Video's, I'm down in Greenville, South carolina, for a 12 week training for walmart. I got accepted into their assiciate to driver program, which they train me to get my cdl and drive for them. I work at the distribution center in marcy ny.

Great video.. I would have went full send in that wet spot…. If you don’t open it now it will be almost like concrete if it ever does dry out. Trust me I’ve been through spots I shouldn’t have even went through….. oh I’m ready for some sweet corn lol….

Thank you Rick, I'm glad you like the video. I know you would have went right through that spot. You've sent me pictures of a tractor you got buried before. Its a judgment call with those wet spots. Its only me and my dad and we are already behind so if I go in there and get stuck really bad then its just him to come pull me out and we are now further behind for messing around in a spot I shouldn't have been in, in the first place. We don't have a full crew of guys like the crew you worked on so now not only am I behind but now I put him behind and probably made that spot much worse and tore up. I got through that spot with the 4555 and disk but in the next video I don't go through with with the roller harrow. I know I'll be stuck and make a bigger mess. I explain what my plan is. The good thing about these fields is I've worked them my whole life, I know when I should test it and when I shouldn't

So after you go over it with the roller your grain drill can cut back in and plant with no problem??

Have you ever thought about giten a bigger disc? That tractor could handle a good bit bigger than yhat 18 footer easily.

I looked at a newer 20 foot john deere disc but not too seriously. We have so many things on the wish list when it comes to equipment. This disk is still doing a pretty good job so maybe someday but not a priority right now

It all depends on condition of the tractor and how many hours are on it. A decent one could be 50 grand. If you have a low houred tractor in really good condition it could be up in the 70s
