John Deere 4955 Doing It Like A Champ

Hi everyone, yes, pressed the 4955 into service pulling the field cultivator. Ended up working about 45 acres with it. This tractor is truly an American icon. Come and check it out in the field and from the air. Thats right, we videoed with the crashed drone. Thanks for watching everyone.

I used to work ground with a John Deere 4010 Turbo 44 years ago, no top or A/C but I did have an AM radio to listen to. Worked along my father tilling my grandfather's farm with 60 workable acres for extra money in the late 70's. That 4955 is a nice rig.

That is one of the cleanest well taken care of 4955's in the country. They are an awesome powerhouse! If you sell it l hope whoever buys it takes as good care of it as you have. 👍

Does my heart good to see a 55 series running strong. I grew up farming. My dad is gone now and so is everything. I remember the good and bad times that we had farming. Those times made me a strong person that got me through a career in government service.

Love that tractor too I use to use moldboard plow barely in the ground with last bottom front one normal depth drive down ditch like the furrow usually the big plows make great waterway smaller ones may have to make a second pass Great video in my prayers as always 🙏

Nice setup there Andy. I use an 8440 JD with a 980 field cultivator. Gotta give some love to the older equipment even though it does beat ya up a bit. I've got 150 acres of soys left to put in so I gotta go, have good one

Your right, when we do tillage with our 8000 series we set rears at 10.5 - 11 psi on 18x46 tires.
