Looks like she's coming right along. My great uncle (my grandpa's brother) has a 60 with a single front wheel (doesn't have the 42" rubber on the back, but since we aren't in vegetable country that's not too surprising). Kind of assuming it was a cotton rig being in Arkansas like we are. It was running last I knew, but hasn't been started in probably 5 or 6 years due to a starter problem. I'm kinda want to get in there and work on it if I can one of these days, alongside all the other projects I have lol.

That's pretty neat, I wonder if it had a mounted cotton picker at some point in its life (which meant the tractor would have operated backwards)? The cotton picker setups for these tractors were pretty neat for their time period. Does it have the dished rear wheels like mine or just standard wheels?

@@MichaelTJD60 Just the standard ones. It's an earlier 60 with the 4 oval holes in the cast centers. It may have had a mounted picker on at one time. I know my grandpa told stories of a Farmall 400 (LP-Gas tractor at that) that had a mounted cotton picker on it. They took it off and swapped the pinion back out so they could run it in the regular forward direction. He hasn't told me anything about them doing that to this tractor, but that doesn't mean it didn't have one at some point.

Thank you! So far it has performed very well at local plowing events. Still have a few more in the coming weeks.

Do you know where I can get the top point in the middle on a three point hitch for a John Deere X485

X485 would use a standard Cat. 0 three-point hitch unless you have an aftermarket Cat. 1 hitch on the tractor. Any farm supply store should have a Cat. 0 toplink, which would have holes for a 5/8" pin, or Cat. 1 which would be 3/4".
