My JD 2155 had the same hydraulic issue. The lifts and power steering would not operate. I replaced the main transmission filter with little effect. I pulled this return screen and it was coated with sludge even worse. After cleaning the screen and re-install the hydraulics worked better than ever.

I’m hoping this works on my pop’s 750. When it started failing there was a high pitch squeal, that I had only heard previously while the lever was at it’s extreme. I had assumed this was air in the lines. Now no lift, no squeal, no mowing for me, and it’s fire season. I’ll give it a shot and hope for the best.

hey there i have the same problem with my tractor i clean that filter and put a new fluid and still dont move you think is something else or i need check the filter again?

we cleaned the filter and put in new fluid. lift worked fine until we drove the tractor for a short time. checked the screen again and it was plugged. dumped the oil and cleaned the screen again with the same results. tractor is 50 plus years old. any suggestions?

Check to see if Algae, if so it will just grow back without a bit of oil treatment. Occurs a lot on low use tractors - I found this in my 5100.

I have a 1986 JD850 that I bought last year, So I have a loader on mine and it works perfect. Had a backhoe on it and it worked perfect. I removed the backhoe as I needed to used a blade to do work. Bought everything I need for the 3 point as it didn't come with it but when I went to use it. it wont lift or lower. Do you think that the filter could be the issue like you found even if the loader works perfectly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

my rock bar do not move at all, and when I pull that drain plug, very little comes out. I can for tell my future...thanks for posting.

Hope you can help me. The 3 point hitch on a 710 Jd tractor does not go up on idle, only when you give more throttle around 1400 rpm is it normal. Thank you

Is this one of those sinicle clips That's also being posted on you tube like most of them are doing? Because he said it will lift but not lift again when it's set back down... Or is he just going to go with the you'll have to take my word that it did the repair... Seeing is believing all others Are just a mystery till you find out for your self to where truth is told
