Good video good find. Horrible how Some people will try to hide everything to make a shady sale.

Thanks...I had a sinking feeling when I saw that hose taped off. I hate it for the new owner, he’s really good fella. He sure didn’t deserve this, nobody does.

Were all of the piston rings lined up like that when you pulled the pistons?

Dang the luck. Yep, gather up the needed parts & go again. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻👍🏻🍻🍻🍻

Thanks buddy, currently waiting on the parts to be delivered so I can get it back running 👍

Where did you find the piston and rings?
@bobbygimpcfbugs28613 жыл бұрын
Just tore down my 750 yesterday trying to figure out if I should go over sized piston and rings all 3 top rings where broke. Any pointers on this would help
@AmericanTradesmen3 жыл бұрын
If memory serves me correct that is a 3 cylinder sleeved engine. If you can get oversized I’m sure it would add some power. I’ll have to look into that and see if it’s an option, definitely good information to have. Thanks for the question.

@@AmericanTradesmen yes sir it is 3 cylinder 80mm I have a tiny bit of wear in cylinders not much was thinking going .010 over if possible. Update went back with standard parts are on the way will post video of it going back together

Great job videoing this, have a similar project myself. Sorry if I missed it, but do you recall how many hours this tractor had? Thanks for the video!
@AmericanTradesmen2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! If the hour meter is correct the tractor had 2600 on it.
@s.e.87192 жыл бұрын
@@AmericanTradesmen wow, doesn’t sound like a lot of hours for these old tractors that seem to run 4000+ pretty easily. The previous repairs you pointed out may have had a lot to do with it.
@melissacarroll68692 жыл бұрын
Did you do anything to the head?
@AmericanTradesmen2 жыл бұрын
I did not in this case. Visual inspection didn’t reveal any issues. I’ve been working the tractor for quite a while now and at times rather hard. So far everything is doing well.

Ive got one and one rod has gone through the engine block. Bought it like that for cheap. Im wondering where can you get parts for these? Its going to be one hell of a project lol. Does your front end have excessive positive camber?
@AmericanTradesmen3 жыл бұрын
I’ll have to look back and see where I found the parts but it was just a few google searches. I’m sure you can find a block with a little patience. If I run across anything I’ll let you know a d good luck with the rebuild 👍

got me a 650 as well this last winter was a bit hard on it froze the clear bubble on the top fuel gauge which allowed water into fuel, and the fuel bowl was frozen, replaced fuel , gauge and bowl, now it dont want to fire up easy anymore, i find i have to manual pump to get it to start, then after running for ten min or so it starts running under powered, i suspect an air leak, danged if i can find it , any suggestions ?? has fresh red diesel which we call farm fuel in it

I had a little aggravation getting the injectors to seal. Best thing I know to do is start at one end and work to the other checking each line. Thanks for the question and please let me know what you find 👍
@Alfred.E.Newman3 жыл бұрын
@@AmericanTradesmen something i should of thought of but never crossed my mind, what happened was the last time we had hail it had broken the clear bubble on the fuel tank gauge, and of course as it rained the fuel got contaminated by water, which being heavier sank to bottom of tank, worked its way thru the fuel bowl into injectors, what a mess over a small piece of plastic !!!
@AmericanTradesmen3 жыл бұрын
That can cause a major headache over a cheap piece of plastic. Hope you got it all straightened out!

Looks like a fix by a car guy. 98% or cars have a PCV breather that feeds into the intake. Not condoning the behavior, but as a car guy, that seems like a logical progression of halfassery.
@AmericanTradesmen3 жыл бұрын
Definitely using the term “halfassery” in the future!
