You did the right thing by going through the tractor from front to rear and repairing it. It’s beautiful now and I know your proud of it. I would be proud to have it . I really like your videos .

I'm happy with the results and the effort was well worth it (in my opinion). Thanks! This tractor is awesome and it can get a lot of work done, especially with the right attachments. Regards Andreas

Great deal. You should swap those front tires so they are facing the correct direction and don’t wear out prematurely

Thanks for sharing your opinion 1259bogs! After repairing a couple things on this tractor, I fully understand why these machines hold their value. There are so many tasks one can get done with it and there are some very nice attachments that can be utilized. I agree with you on the tires and I will take some time to swap them over to face the right direction. Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it! Regards Andreas

I think that's a steal honestly...you really can't find a tractor for that money anywhere. I really enjoyed the John Deere 855 series because this tractor has a diesel engine! Maybe you'll get your hands on a bigger diesel engine in the future that you can work on. Great work Andreas, keep these awesome videos coming

Thanks Matthew, I agree at this price point it would be difficult to find a reasonable tractor with two great attachments. I'm glad I was able to snatch this deal and now I can look forward to use this tractor in the near future. It was really fun working on a diesel engine and I can't lie IT'S REALLY FUN! I will see what options I have and what deals come about. I always have my eyes open. Thank you for your support!!

Thats about the price that just a loader alone would go for around here so I would say you made out pretty darn good. Awesome video series too!

I believe you are right! In my area loaders for tractors are quite expensive too, even if they are in used condition. I'm really happy to hear your opinion. Currently, I am very satisfied with this deal and how it came all together after the rebuild. Thanks for your support and thank you for tuning in, I really appreciate it!!! Regards Andreas

I think it's a great deal for what you have now. It's really nice. Great job on the project....... now flip your front tires around and it will be perfect. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts John! I believe this setup will be well worth it and I wouldn't be able to find anything close to this for the money I put into it. I will flip them very soon haha, I've been getting that a lot in the comments already. Enjoy your weekend, Cheers.

I'm really impressed with your work and execution of a plan. I think you bought a parts tractor and restored it into a highly desirable tractor. I would buy a second hand tractor from you and feel that I'd won the lottery. Keep up the good work. Maybe a JD 844 FEL next?

Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! I try my best to make my machines run and operate correctly, so I take enough time to get everything right. Maybe one day I'll have a machine up for sale, but I'm not sure you're close by! Thanks again Charles, I will continue to do my best! If you're talking about a JD 888 Loader (Payloader)...then all I can say is YES. I'd love to work on some bigger machines and I'll keep my eyes open for new projects. One can NEVER have enough projects! Regards Andreas

Would like to know your tool invertory for this project. As your first diesel rebuld noted you had a diesel injecto tester on hand. Any other dedicated rebuild tool? Never saw your count of your work hours? How do you distinguish between Rebuild, Remanufactured, Overhauled? Thanks for the videos (all of them).
@WorkshopRebuild2 жыл бұрын
Great questions Tom! My tool inventory is quite large and filled with hand tools and just a few corded power tools. To list everything would be very hard, but this might be something I can share with everyone in the future. This was my first diesel rebuild that I have done on KZbin and before this I have actually only rebuilt two Kubota V2203's. These two engines were placed into skidsteers and that is why I already had an injector tester. When it comes to tools for an engine rebuild, you can get away with a 100 piece tool kit and a torque wrench really. For diesel engines, I would suggest you find yourself a "Flare Nut Line Wrench Set". This will come in handy when you have to bleed the injectors. I did not count my hours on this rebuild, but it was not all too long! The most time-consuming part was to clean the tractor from all the hidden debris and clean all the disassembled engine components that were in the boxes. The Yanmar engine rebuild took much longer than any air-cooled engine I've previously touched, because I had a lot of details to share on camera. I really put a lot of hours into the film-making part and editing, but I know it will help many viewers out there, so I keep at it and try my best! This is how I would differentiate these topics: Rebuild= Any mechanical component disassembled, repaired and put back together. Must be fully functional & like new. Remanufactured= Any mechanical component disassembled, repaired and put back together by a certified mechanic or company. Must be fully functional & like new + have warranty backed by company. Overhauled= A certain part of a mechanical assembly that has been repaired or rebuilt. Once an mechanical component is disassembled, only certain parts will be exchanged to make it fully functional again. I will never be able to label my work as remanufactured, even though it might be up to the same working standards, but I do not have a stamp to stand by my work. One could argue: "Do I Rebuild or Overhaul my projects?". They are very similar terms and maybe I do a little bit of both! I hope this gives you enough information and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask! Regards Andreas

Tractor and repair - Total are preaty good price for all together. In Europe you would pay double for this, sometimes even triple of that total amount.
@WorkshopRebuild Жыл бұрын
Hi Janis! I agree, this tractor was a great deal from the start and the machine shop repair was justifiable. I am aware of European prices and I can confirm they are much higher. I guess I was lucky with this deal haha. Thanks for tuning in and leaving a comment, it's much appreciated. Regards Andreas

Most important question. Where did you get that sweatshirt?
@EdOfTheNorth2 жыл бұрын
I'm probably too late but do you still have this 855 and would you be willing to sell it if you still own it? If so would you quote me a price. I'm in Northern Ontario.

Hello Ed, thanks for viewing this video and thank you for your inquiry. This tractor is still in my ownership and I am not planning on selling it anytime soon as it will be needed around the property. Regards Andreas

I was aware of that, haha! These were put on backwards by the previous owner and ai have since turned them around. You‘re not the only one to point that out😁👍🏽 Regards Andreas
