I ran over a bunch of twine from a hay bale and it all got stuck around my blades. This video really helped me fix the problem. The camera shots were clear, instructions were clear, sound was clear, and all I had to do was follow the steps one by one. Also, thank you for using a stationary camera and not trying to do this one handed (I really hate it when people do that). Thank you thank you thank you.

Why remove The Whole deck ? I jack up my mower a bit and get on the ground and replace blades
@bbbjim1fixedit5 жыл бұрын
I removed the deck for 2 things, (1) best angle for recording and (2) safety, the mower could fall off the jack or the jack fail causing injury

1. Power wash the underside of the deck 2. Grease the spindles 3. Replace the blades I can have my deck out and on its side in less the 5 min. Once you have done it a few times its easy to remove and reinstall. Cheers

Wouldn't it be simpler to put it on ramps and take them off without removing the deck? This way is thorough......But looks like a little overkill?
@bbbjim1fixedit2 жыл бұрын
I did it this way for a couple reasons: I wanted to get a good camera shot and I don't want someone to just jack it up and have it fall and injure them.

What size socket is that?
@bbbjim1fixedit2 жыл бұрын
I used a 15/16" socket to remove the nut holding the blades on. I wish you the best on your blade change

Dude, you do not have to take the deck off!!! Wow!!! Tilt the mower, block the blade and unscrew the bolt holding the blade… then reverse procedure! 10 minutes tops!!!
@bbbjim1fixedit3 жыл бұрын
I did it this way for safety reasons, I didn't want anyone watching the video to get injured since it could tip back on someone.

@@bbbjim1fixedit Sir, you only need 4” of clearance and placing blocks under you working entry side would keep it from falling if you have locked the brake. Your machine is filthy…

Hey, buddy! Would you be a pal and tell me the part number for the deck itself? My label came off and I'm looking for a replacement deck and want to make sure it's the right one :) Thank you, Sir!
