What a pleasure to watch a video that is so clear. No flummery. No dad jokes. Just brilliant.

Great maintenance vid, my step dad was a mechanic in the Marine Corps and he told me when putting spark plugs in use your little finger to tighten not the hand.

Good video! I was hoping you would mention the spark plug gap requirement though. I would add to fill all of the grease fittings. I just bought a home that came with a D105. I filled all of the fittings with grease and boy what a difference. The blade engagement became super smooth and quiet, and the steering became super easy to turn, too. Now to do the oil change maintenance so I know where I stand with it and is the reason, I watched this video.

That’s a good call! Thank you for the suggestion!

You needed to check the gap on the plug before you installed it. And just loosen the dip stick as you drain the oil and make sure you wipe the dipstick before you reinstall in the engine. Oh and just hose down the engine now and then, it helps keep it cool if there isn’t a ton of dust on it. 😀

I like your video very much. Can you give us the detail of the parts you bought. I paid $60 at Lowe’s.

I have the D-105 series as well and my tractor only has 12 hours on but the service light is on . I got it used with no service manual do you have any idea what service is due ?? Thanks in advance.
@LaceyFamilyFarm3 жыл бұрын
It’s usually not a whole lot of maintenance, but what I would recommend is oil changes every 50 hours. And when you do the oil change do everything else that was in the video. That should cover you.

There is a service due a few hours after you purchase new to replace break in oil and filter.

When’s the last time you did routine maintenance on it like a oil change, fuel change and fuel filter change?
