john deere d125 carburetor removal. its a Chinese Briggs

I was given a Troy Built with a 26hp Briggs And Scrapiron. It had sat 3, maybe 4 years with shit gas in it. Even the brass elbow at the top of the gas tank was 100% clogged with yellow crap! I tried everything to revive the NIKKI 2 barrel carb but in the end, could not get needle seat out and that was fatally clogged! I ended up buying the correct carbeurator on Amazon and probably got lucky!!! I replaced the entire gas line, filter, vent line, fuel pump, carbeurator and found out the intake manifold was warped and would not seal up to carbeurator. So after 4 vendors saying they had one and fighting to get refunds, I finally got the Intake (Briggs says they're backordered with no ETA!). Well dog my cats I got it all put together and knock wood...she runs perfectly! Good luck if you take one of these Intek V Twins on that is not running! Unless you maintain them and replace fuel lines every 3 years, you should be ok! I recommend putting in a fuel shutoff valve before the fuel filter for ease of changing out filter. Not an easy machine to drain fuel as line goes down from the top of the tank. This link is where I got my carb. It was the right carb for NIKKI 445677 with gaskets, 2 spark plugs, a fuel shutoff with 4 hose clamps. It was $45.99 with free shipping! The holes for choke linkage needed to be filed slightly due to stamp cut and gromet on throttle were a little too tight. www.ebay.com/itm/154853674150

I put this project on hold until the sprig. When I get the new carb I'll pass along the info to you. I'll say also I called John deere an a carb from them is 200 dollars

Wanted to update u on the carb. I went to a local dealer and he couldn't find the carb ether only choice I had left was going to the local john deere dealer and they want 200 bucks for a new carb. So thats where I'm at

@@broken_bones_acres I haven't been able to find the right carb for this guy. It just seems like its difficult to find. Any idea where I can get a cheap knockoff one?

@@Swinky88 I'm having the same problem. I searched Amazon couldn't find it. Only place I could is John Deere dealer has them for $200.00 maybe try Briggs and Stratton. Ether call or email them . Mine is still sitting bc I don't want to drop 200 for a carb. I'll keep u updated if I find 1
