i used to have a john deer 160. john deer made really good mowers, they are really tough. The 2 problems i have with john deer is the fuel tank location, and non metal hood. My 160 was a really good mower to me for 6 months. it had a 12hp kawasaki flathead, once i snorkeled it that motor could run fully submerged, the problem with that mower was the fuel tank location. if water got over the fenders then i would get water in the gas. The second problem i have with deers are the hoods. i used to have a john deer LA105 which is the gear drive version of yours. loved that thing ran with a massive hole in the trans for over a year. the hood broke almost immediately after i got it due to me flipping it over because i was a dumb kid. the hood didnt even break. the hood broke because i closed it to hard. so yea. love john deers the hoods and the gas tank locations are what kills them. as for yours you could easily get 400 due to it 1 being built right, and 2 because it looks good, people who have no intention to actually go fast or really beat on it will buy it as a cheap 4 wheeler replacement or a small tractor. If you look on my channel i used to have a lt1000. I put a hood on it, and cleaned it up real nice and a lady bought it as a four wheeler. she was gonna use it as a thing to haul around sticks with a lawncart. she was never intending to use it for what i did. i ran that thing up to the top of the carb in water. anyhow she ended up paying me 400 bucks for it. so if it looks nice (yours does) then regular people with buy it as a cheap 4 wheeler. ngl you could make profit doing that sorta thing. i made 300 bucks off that thing.

I feel like it would sell for a lot because it looks cool. So far I love the hood. As long as it does not break and it will never rust. I wish my rear fenders were rust free, the thing would look new. I should try a snorkel on one soon. Definitely need to relocate the gas tank, especially with mine being cracked. I don't know the best, I have a variety. I usually go with what ever I can find a great deal on on marketplace. The bigger the lugs the better in mud is my take on it. Good luck and thanks for watching.
