I have said it before and I will say it again, DONT ENGAGE YOUR BLADES AT FULL THROTTLE!!! YOU ARE THROWING MORE TORQUE THAN NECESSARY ON ALL YOUR MOVING PARTS. You are sending belts, pulleys, clutch, engine, etc from a dead stop to full speed and straining everything more than is needed. Bring it down to idle, engage the blades, then back up to where you desire. Your mower will last so much longer with less parts replacing.

FYI: Letting a mower run in cut position in the same place for a while will damage your gras and even after quite some time you will notice were the mower was standing during wash. I would advice to have this performed on a paved ground.

Good for you. Take care of it and you'll do alright. Mine is 3 years old and looks pretty much brand new. I mow every Sunday with no issues and the yard looks fantastic. Thanks for watching.

I had the same concern, however, I learned that mowers with the wash-out feature have decks made of alluminum, so they cannot rust. As for the other parts, washing them down and letting the blade spin-dry for a minute is better than having wet, caked on grass all over them.

I'm a little disappointed that you cut the Video short and didn't show the debris that you said you were going to show after the wash. I was curious on how much stuff it actually pulled off the bottom deck of the mower.

Sweet, I have the same mower, and when I clean it using the hose run the blades straight away, letting the water run first then turning on blades seems a lot better, thanks

Good for you. Not to be too old fashioned, but that's what makes a community strong.

Yes, I wash (at least hose it down every month or so (3 or 4 uses). Makes it all last a LONG time and it looks great. Taking pride in things pays off financially down the road for reduced maintenance costs. Thanks for watching!

Try looking in the plumbing aisle of your big box store (lowe's, home depot). They usually have an assortment of pipe caps. Take the coupler outlet with you to size it properly. Thx for watching.

The hose cleaning attachment comes off if you pull up on the green section. It makes it easier to put the hose on then just push the attachment back on by pushing it on the connection.

These do work quite well, several manufactures offer these now. I would advise doing it somewhere where you don't care for your grass too much if you decide to use it...

You want as fine and dry a cut as possible. Don't cut in the mornings as there is dew on the grass. Cut in the evenings after work. Cut regularly, about once a week, don't let your grass grow too long because the finer the cut the easier it is to travel up the chute. Don't cut too quick, you want air replacement. Remember that the cut grass travelling up to the basket has some air flowing back down toward the blades which cause turbulence.

don't leave the hose on without the pto on. Your just saturating your lawn. And its easier to get the hose on if you remove the adaptor from the deck and then screw/unscrew the hose. Nice gloves too

I sell them at Lowes and actually the dealer comes to us. We get the mowers from our Regional Distribution Centers an when I get enough John Deere's in (usually about 8 or so) I call the dealer and ask them to come build my tractors. The LA105 is really a nice model. People give these tractors crap because they think everyone needs a $5000 mower to cut their grass.

Did you check the pick up chute? My gets clogged occasionally with wet clippings. Then check the high lift blades, maybe their dirty.

At a dollar per minute, 3 hours would be $180. But yeah, they're being unreasonable on multiple fronts.

Q: What can I use to cover the outlet with the coupler off? I had to buy a new one as the original one was lost or maybe stolen... not accusing anyone of anything, but I don't want to keep replacing it. Can I put a rubber cover of some sort over the metal piece bolted to the deck?

I don't like that when you wash your mower and do the deck wash, you have to drive over the caked up grass and dirt that the water knocked out from under the deck, then you have to wash your tires again... and there should be something to catch all that cakey stuff that comes out from the deck, nobobdy likes a spot in there yard like that or even on pavement.
