Awesome video…we don’t see this everyday in todays ag world! What a fleet! Beautiful soil too…no rocks! If we pulled a packer like that back in the day when we plowed, we would’ve made a road. I grew up riding in the cab of IH 1086 tri-stripe with an IH 720 5/18 plow….my father bought the outfit new in 1981. I would ride for hours on end this time of year spring plowing and falling asleep behind the seat. Great memories…im getting old!

We didn’t plow for almost 20 yrs we chisel plow an also plant Notill we still have the plow a 4 bottom jd 2500 with spring resets an hyd hillside hitch enjoyed video an that was some nice looking ground

I still have a real nice 4560. Exact same tractor without the intercooler so we put one one and turned up the pump the same as a 47.

No till farming may be the thing of the age, but the plough will never be outdated. Turning over the soil and leaving it exposed to the elements has many advantages that chemicals cannot duplicate. There will always be a place for the plough in farming. Regards from Down Under.

I am ploughing with a JD6605 4WD tractor and 3 bottom Kverneland Hyrein MD plow. Plowing barley stubble down to prepare seeded for barley again. Saanichton Farm on Vancouver Island, BC.

Those rigs are doing a fantastic job on that soil. Love seeing guys still plowing the fields. Only thing I dislike about plowing is all the wasted time and fuel in the headlands getting turned around and repositioned

These specialty crop videos are really interesting. Here at home, the veggie growers outside of Celeryville pull a packer behind a moldboard plow but they do that to help keep the muck soil from blowing away.

Cool seeing all those tractors plowing one behind the other like that. I have not seen anyone around here with the plowing dual setup. We have duals for our plowing tractor but have not used the duals on the tractor in a long time as it no longer runs the cultivator.

That moldboard plow /brillion roller combo has been used here in the sands since the 1960's. Even im surprised it is still being done. Our farm has 2 Case Ih 6 bottom vari width plows

Thank you for watching. I am guessing you might be from the UK by your spelling of plough. In the US we spell it blow and the sales literature Redford to the number of moldboards mounted on the plow as bottoms. Just a US colloquialism.

I often wonder why the European style of plowing has not made it here to the states yet? Granted, plowing is not popular here but if you do plow, it just seems to make a lot of sense. A lot of efficiency lost plowing one way.

Flip Plows, or 2 way Plows, are great machines. But if you can NoTill, that's the best way. Time/fuel=$

Kinda funny: Raising row crops like corn for livestock feed doesn't require as much tillage nor diesel fuel as raising strictly vegetables does. Which is more environmentally sound? Jw, because I know what the answer is. 😮😂😂😂

That is a big plow. The John Deere 915 V Ripper will subsoil 18 inches deep.

That is a good question. Typically one of these plows will cover about 30 to 40 acres per day.
