John Deere/Tuff Torq transaxle part 2.

I tried to do this in place. Got the cover off and the magnets, pump, filter, and 1 of the pump retaining pins fell out. Started scratching my head. Went to KZbin and found this video. Will take the rest of the transmission out tomorrow, order my parts, and reassemble. Then I will reinstall as a complete unit. Thanks for the video.

Great job so far. Really looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Seeing as how there was no material on the magnets and the pump seems to be ok, I’m praying that a good fluid and filter service does the trick.

Love this video. I have the MIA12728 which is the left side transmission doing the same thing.. I couldn't find video 3 with the rebuild process. Did you happen to video it?

Hi Bob is there a filter for that transmission . What about a drain plug? If so where is it? I didn't see ether thanks in advance.

Filter is inside transmission,drain plug is bolt in center of trans.

I pulled mine apart and found a broken spring in one of the little cylinders. Ordered a rebuild kit.

I’m having the same issue with my transaxle Did that solve the problem? I was originally thinking maybe the belt was slipping :/

It did not,it ended up needing to be rebiult.
