It amazes me how clean all your units are, this cute little tractor looks like its never been used!

Just picked up the same model with a Diesel (Yanmar) engine, 54’’.mower deck, and new snow plow (Power angle) 150 hrs... $3,500. Needs some TLC Cosmetics, but I’m extremely happy with my purchase!

We have an X585 for years, snowblower is all rusted out so were buying and upgrading to the 54 blower for this season. We have alot to snowblow and we moved to our new property and we out grew out little john Deere. Still does fine, added a box blade to maintain the driveway and atv trails. I also want a rear blade too. However, need more front weight. In the future I want to put a CTC loader on since we have the Curtis cab. Is 8 41lb suitcase weights enough in the back along with the cat 1 heavy hitch including 50lb wheel weights on each side?

I found 585 in nice shape, love it been doing lots of landscaping and dirt moving with it. I have the HDAP tires, plan on updating to the new Carlisle Versa Turfs. I put beet juice in the rear tires thanks to TTWT. I love how maneuverable it is and stable. We live on hill carry the load low goes right up and down the hill. 4wd is must, rear wheel drive only machine would be worthless.

What does the toggle switch do, the one in front of the 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive lever?

I know this is an old video, but damn this is the perfect set up I've been lookin for. Big 62" deck first of all. And then the loader? Cmon lol. I'll be checking if you happen to ever get another.

Can you adjust the hydraulic pressure a little higher on these models x585

The loader is a nice addition for the homeowner or hobby farmer who needs to move mulch or clean horse stalls, or dig loose dirt, but it struggles to dig due to the hydraulic limitations and weight of the tractor. You also need a large amount of weight on the rear of the tractor to properly use the loader. Loader weighs about 350 pounds by itself, and will lift about 400 pounds of material. That's 3/4 the weight of the bare tractor, so filled rear tires and some sort of ballast behind the tractor are necessary. I have the 45 loader shown on an X748, I added the 3-pont hitch and rear 540 PTO, which is also available for the machine in the video. I hang either a 5' box blade or my 50" rototiller on my rear lift as counterweight but really need more. One other thing to consider with this loader and the 3-point hitch is that they cannot be used together independently. When you raise or lower an implement on back, and the loader is attached, the bucket will tip. You can lock the rear lift in 'up' position with an implement attached so you can use the loader without the rear implement going up and down with the bucket. Compromises for the smaller machine than the 1-series. I found the "goal post" ROPS arms as handy to mount work lights on, the loader bucket occludes the headlights when working after dark.

You're 100% correct on the usability of the loader and rear attachments. I'm currently working on replacing the gas engine on mine with a 1cyl yanmar 16 horse diesel. I'll be adding another hydraulic spool so the rear attachments can be separated from the 45 loader on mine. There's going to be some custom fabrication but nothing out of my realm. I have a JD 318, JD 332, JD 430 along with a 755, 790, 4200, and I'm working on fixing a 6520 that had a cab fire. Needless to say love John Deeres especially the little ones. It's a shame after the x585 and diesel x7xx there's no more of these tiny mighty tractors.

Do you know where I can find a 45 loader for my X595? I feel like I've looked everywhere.

Courtney, I have a 2002 x595; love it! Shame the #45 loader is no longer being made. Looked @ Johnny, not impressed. Buford appears to make a well made one, limited reach. Mixed reviews on CTC. I just found one on Loaders period 3 letter word. Anytime I try to refer someone to a website; I get bounced! Of course they don't warn you until you hit the Send key,,,,,,😠. Ha! Anyway, the companies name is Westendorf; on Loaders,,,,,,,,,. Heard of them, like them, know customers who have them?

Hello I would like to find. A used front loader like the one in the video. I have a 445 with a Curtis cab . Tks my name is Eric

Eric Mick 66 Hi, you will need to find a Model 40 loader. Or you can just trade it all in towards the purchase of this tractor package ;)
@DeereX7485 жыл бұрын
Your 445 takes a different loader than the one shown. This is a 45 loader, you need the 40 loader for your tractor. It is not a quick attach, but about the same size and capacity.

I sold this package for $9,000-10,000. It was awhile ago and I don't recall the exact amount.
