John Deere X758 X738 Front Axle Shaft for Snowblower

Video installing the front axle through shaft for running a broom or blower on the John Deere X758 and X738 and various other 4wd X7 and X5-5 garden tractors. Part number for the kit is BM25305.

Raw videos with all the little hiccups are great to watch. Maybe you can keep a few pieces of different size PVC pipe for installing bearings and seals. Thanks for sharing

That draft arm swing bracket; I was thinking the flange of the brass bushing would serve as a spacer between the frame and the swing bracket to prevent the swing bracket from rubbing against the frame. Either way, it appears to work fine. Good content. 👍

They should fit the older machines. I know I have seen the newer HC decks under an X740 before. One of the things I would like to try is swapping my 7 Iron onto the X758 and the 60HC onto the X748, just for fun! Check out around the 14 minute mark in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZovPgYKMnb5-ac0

Do u know if the X738 comes with the correct relief valve to use a loader?

No it does not. You would need to get the proper valve for the transaxle. I can't remember the number off the top of my head, but there is one for the 2wd and one for the 4wd units.

Ok, I'm gonna do it,.... I'm going to be the guy. If you are going to use this to blow snow, why did you not get a 1025R with the available factory heated cab? Having seen your winters, I would not want to be on an open station tractor blowing snow. Plus you would have gotten the rear PTO and 3point included. Just curious. Also, I would imagine the front PTO kit is probably the same or very close in cost for both machines.

Simple solution to an open cab in the winter is to wear a modular snowmobile helmet. They work great at keeping the snow off your face!
