Well here we are in 2024.He loved and advocated for all life on earth in the air and in the sea.The song “Yellowstone “ captures his soul. The death of John Denver is a crime against humanity. He will NEVER EVER be forgotten.❤🌹🎼🕊️🦅🐋🦌🎸

As many have since 1998, we gather at the beach on the 2nd Sunday in October to sing his songs and remember him (This year it is OCt. 9th 3-5:30 PM. There will likely be a fly over by Diane who drops roses from a plane at about 5:25 PM. Over the years raised the core group that gathers each October raised money and got approval to put a plaque there. It took us gathering fans, friends and the approval of his family over many years to get that installed. (it's at Ocean & Asilomar just in from where he crashed in the sea). Some were even there in 1997 on that sad day and they carved John's name into a log that is still there, Join us or play one of his songs where you are. John wanted us to remember him by singing his songs and being good to each other and the earth. Thanks for posting this. Peace!

Miss you John. I can’t wait till I go home and I belong. I’ve picked one of your songs for my funeral. Always a big part of my life , a recurring theme is my love for music. I play guitar too and I wanted to play with you when I was a kid. I saw you once in one of our mountain towns but I was too shy to say hello. Last time I heard your voice live was a Red Rocks. I hope guitars are allowed in heaven.

John Denver, was so in tune with Nature. And the Natural High you get when you see the beauty of the Mountains. Just hearing this song his last song. And all his music Rocky Mountain High, Sunshine On My Shoulders, Calypso, Annies Song, Farewell Andromeda, etc. He was so in tune with what we all need to hear again. He sang of Peace. I miss him and his music. One thing I know he is up in those Mountains he loved so much. God Bless you, John Denver.

John was a visionary who was ahead of the times. Had we listened to his wisdom and warning we would be in a better place in our world today. Peace, climate change health, and harmony. I was at both of John’s services. Met him several times and can say he was a genuinely good man who used his gifts to bring joy into lives and try to make the world a better place for all. He is missed. 🙏🏻❤️

Thank you ever so much for this! I miss so greatly this wonderful gentleman, this lover of of the Earth and the compassionate spirit he carried within him. Gratitude is what I feel for his sharing with us his gift of song and lyricism. I also, even today feel a great sense of loss over his untimely departure. I have never heard this song you presented here before. Thank you.

I used to play John Denver's records and music also on piano. Whe he died...was in the middle of marriage breaking up. My ex called me for no reason..and sarcastically just said.."Are you sad John Denver died ?" Such an ugly thing. I am of course no longer with that person who could be so nasty.
