It's very heartwarming that despite of poor sound-quality this upload "clicked" I am very sorry for my 6years absence - I was reading all comments - and what can I say - Very Good Stories.

I can't believe I found this again! I recorded it off the radio while living in Oregon in the early 80's ... on 8 track! lol... which broke not long after.... So proud to have him living in my town til the end of his days.. sad too.. His music will live forever tho...

Well, srry to be late 6 years. Even though I am not from U.S. I can tell that early 80s public/commercial radio enviroment looked vastly different - 'cause you had tons of indepedence there, but since Mr. B.C. presidenture, ur nation, and hence the whole globalistic world, entered XXI century deprived. Good thing that internet started devoloping by then, so we can create our own freedom AGAIN.

punks are v sensitive, they love their mothers and cute kittens... and John Fahey ultimately felt he had more in common w/ punks than w/ the folkies he was lumped together with...

Yes I agree, his open tunings create an ethereal sound that touches my soul. Regards starsam2

John Fahey was a true artist, no more a 'folkie' than Charles Ives.

They say playing slow is harder than playing fast. What about playing with time as John Fahey does here?

In the early '70's, LSD and Fahey went together very well. Never saw him in concert in person because he didn't show up that time. Spotted him many years later outside a 7-11 store, but did not recognize him at the time. Ah well. Good music nonetheless.

Might be interesting if it had a song stuck on it here and there. Just aimless dull open chord noodling without.
