I didn't wanna disrespect John or Glenn or the family in anyway by using this video for views. So I made sure to not put his name in the title ,thumbnail or in tags. I didn't know him but I love John farnham as he's become one of my inspirations vocally so I definitely wanna pay my respects the correct way and not use his death for clicks and views ❤

Glenn Wheatley was a big force in the Australian Music industry. He was in his own band, Master’s Apprentices (bass guitar) and then moved on to manage Australian bands. He was John Farnham’s manager for a long time. He later managed Little River Band. Glenn discovered Delta when she was a teenager. He has been Best of friends with John for decades. He was married to Gaynor for 40 years.and has 3 children. He will be missed by many. Thank you for paying your respects even though you didn’t know him. That shows who you are as a person. Honouring him on John’s song. Thanks. Hugs from Australia ❤️❤️🐨❤️❤️

Also that was Lisa Edwards, backing vocals for John from 1988 -2020, just having fun messing around with the guitar and that was Jack Jones on guitar that John joined doing vocals. John was a massive fan of young Jack Jones and Jack played guitar and did vocals on John’s Chain Reaction tour. Cheers ❤️❤️🐨❤️❤️

Glenn was John’s manager for many years. He famously mortgaged his own house, so that he could produce John’s ‘comeback’ album, ‘Whispering Jack’, which contained ‘You’re the Voice’ and sold squillions. They have stuck together through thick and thin, only separated by Glenn’s sad death.

Poor John- the media going up to the window of his wife’s car and sticking a mike in her face and saying is John ok? And she’s like no he’s not ok!! Very distasteful of them to do that to his family during this time

@@Dr_KAP yeh that’s horrible. I saw one news report from a certain tv station where they said ‘Glenn leaves behind his wife and 3 children’… the photo they used with this statement was Glenn, his wife, and a teenage boy. I looked at the boy and immediately knew it was not Glenn’s son…. It was Robert Farnham…. Such poor journalism there. Anyone could easily google and see what Glenn’s son looks like and know what that wasn’t him 😐

STEVE WILLIAMS ( sax/harmonica/vocals) - A member of the John Farnham band since 1990, Steve Williams is best known for his unforgettable harmonica playing on Farnham’s number 1 hit , ‘ Chain Reaction’. Steve has toured extensively throughout Australia, Europe, America and Asia with both Farnham and as part of Olivia Newton John’s band. He is currently a member of the Dancing With The Stars Orchestra. Peace out.

The guitarist he was singing with in the red is a musician by the name of Jack Jones. He was the lead singer of an Australian group called Southern Sons. Jack joined John's band at his request. When Jack Jones hit the airways for the first time, not seeing the song's video, people at first thought it was John Farnham singing. 'Hearts on Fire' is a song worth checking out.

Never got to meet Wheatly, but Jim Keays many times, because he was a patient (who gave me full permission to talk about our interactions). Singer, look up "It's because I love you (Do what you wanna do)" You will hear Wheatly's career with The Master's Apprentices. As Jim said to me, just before he died, and I had congratulated him on a Jeep advertisement featuring AFL/VFL legend Tommy Hafey (another friend of mine), "Yes Matt. That song's been very good to me over the years. Seen me through a lot of bad times".

Sad news about Glenn Wheatley. I love this song and the lower, gritty vocals here. John's an under-rated country singer, I'd totally love for him to do a country album! The song 'Chain Reaction' was written by David A Stewart of the Eurythmics and his wife Siobhan Fahey (Bananarama) for his album also called 'Chain Reaction.' These concerts are probably my favourite of John's, each of the band are in themselves great musicians. Wonderful memories. Thanks again and rest in peace Glenn

It’s very sad about Glenn. I think you did that very respectfully. In one news story here they showed footage of John getting into a car and he put an umbrella up to hide himself. That was disrespectful. My heart ached for Glenn’s family and for John’s. They’ve just lost a man they love dearly. They shouldn’t have to deal with paparazzi too. It was nice to have a reaction today. This one would have to be my all time favourite live track. I love the whole concert, but especially this song. As I listened to it today, I felt very thankful for Glenn and his faith in John, because without him Whispering Jack wouldn’t have happened, and therefore none of the albums after it would have happened either. Probably been mentioned already, but Lisa Edwards (John's long time backup singer) was playing bass guitar through the song, and went back to the Mike, and simply left the guitar over her shoulder while John’s 'real' bassist finished out the song (probably the more complex bits). You'll probably notice lots of people who regularly do other jobs playing instruments in this song. Others have done a comprehensive list, so I'll defer to them. I was blessed to see John and his band live more than once in the 80s.. 😁

Well, that was a treat. Who is this guy, you ask? Well, he's the same guy who played the sax you loved in Help - Stevie Williams. Accomplished musician. The man John had his arm around wearing the red shirt was Jack Jones who you've done a reaction to (Hold Me In Your Arms) and Lindsay Fields was down front playing the guitar. This song usually doesn't have such a long harmonica intro, but John's concerts always feature his talented band members and those members have stayed pretty much with him except for occasionally changes.

R.I.P Glen Wheatley, he was his manager. This was a solo concert probably filmed in the early 90's
