Thank you for this great reaction to our Aussie legend. I saw this performance. It was an unforgettable night. All of the cast were amazing, but John's performances throughout this show were astounding. But to be honest, I've been to dozens of his concerts, and they've all been astounding. He is a sheer musical genius, and the nicest man ever. I'm 70 years old now, and I still cherish the memory of the time when he took my flowers, smiled at me, and shook my hand.

This is what we mean when we say John Farnham can sing any genre. He also did musical comedy when he was a lot younger and absolutely killed it. Check out John Farnham, Jon Stevens and Kate Ceberano - Everything's Alright from the same show. I'm sure you'll love it.

This whole theatrical production was massive in Australia at the time. For more of this, they released a single at the time (1992) of the song "Everything's Alright" from JC Superstar. It stars John, along with two other famous and talented singers.. Kate Ceberano and Jon Stevens (who headed the Australian Band Noiseworks and also performed with INXS). The single lasted on the music charts for months... Give it a look

In the early 70's was cast in Pippin, and also in Charlie Girl alongside Derek Nimmo. This performance was 20 years later. Because of John's versatility, you never get bored of his voice. He's simply the best. Thanks for your wonderful reaction.. 🙂

Besides John's 1992 performance in the Australian production of Jesus Christ Superstar, he had previously starred in Australian productions of Charlie Girl and Pippin; John has also appeared in several pantomimes, in his earl career.😊

Arguably his best vocal performance ever. This was not a full stage production of the musical and as such you don’t have the acting you’ll see in the play. It was a musical revival show. I think this suited John even better. The 2013 Australian version featured your countryman Ben Forster as Jesus and he absolutely kills this song- the notes he hits toward the end are unlike anything I’ve heard. Goosebumps!

Gethsemane is often referred to as 'The Agony in the Garden" where Jesus the 'man' had all the human emotions and fears and so questions the need to die. John's performance here has so much of the agony and fear as he speaks to God. And that last part where he sings "Take Me Now" the entire audience is holding their breath and silent. Amazing performance. You're quickly becoming my fav reactor. Love from Australia
