This one was written by John, his producer Ross Fraser and fellow band member at the time Phil Buckle. If you listen closely to the words of all of John's songs you will discover the story of his life. HELP was recorded in 1980 when John was on the bones of his backside and the music industry was not taking him as a serious artist. Let Me Out...was his response to the time he had with the Little River Band. Playing to Win was at the end of his time with the Little River Band and he was ready to take charge of his career and his life. I Can Do Anything was written and recorded 2 years after he had returned to the top and had had 2 multi platinum albums back in the charts so he really could do anything at that point ... Most of his songs from 1986 onwards reflect his feelings towards creating harmony among people in Australia and across the world and giving thanks to all those who did support him over his journey. Every song he sang had a special meaning to him and thats why he always sang with such emotion and feeling.❤❤❤

Thanks guys - great reaction again. ❤ You really do get John and yes the 90s were quite positive. Also I was about 7 when John first came on the scene as Johnny Farnham. His manager from then until he sadly passed in 2022 from covid complications, Glenn Wheatley also his best mate got a hold of him and he became the front man for Little River Band - that didnt turn out. Neither John or Glenn knew the debt the band was in and whilst John being John always put in more than 💯, he wasnt appreciated by all the band members and he also didnt get paid a lot. He finished with them in about 1985 and he had nothing and went through a very dark time and he credits his wife for bringing him through. Then Glenn mortgaged his house so John could get his album Whispering Jack off the ground and the rest as they say is history. Still he says hes been lucky because hes been able to sing and bring joy to people whether he got paid or not. Such an inspiration and a humble, beautiful man ❤
