What a great song with matching brilliant lyrics. The power of passion encapsulated in these telling words. In 1990, I was living, briefly in Cape Town. A couple of months. Lonely. I had a tape of this album. It gave me comfort, which has lasted through time. I own the vinyl now. It takes me back to that emotionally difficult time. But I recognise ,as I did then, what a brilliant album it is. A trilogy of triumph (his first 3 solo albums). Never to be surpassed. Thank you John. And all involved.

Many years ago I was at a seminar and one of the attendees, Peter, was having self doubt about the project he was working on. The man who was playing the music put on this track (and managed to keep it going on repeat). The assembled group sang this to Peter. It was one of the most inspiring evenings I think I have ever witnessed. This tune has been a favourite of mine ever since.. if this doesn't inspire you nothing will.

Aww This takes me right back to 1991 when he came to Holland with the Chainreaction tour, best show to this day I have seen live! After 10 years of searching today, I have found the DVD for this I can play in my region :) Can't wait till I can play it. Thanks for uploading these clips.

I have been really enjoying your John Farnham collection. I have never seen these before. To this day I still can't believe how fantastic he is. His vice, tone, power and emotions, looks, he has it all. What I would have given to have seen him back then. I was a young mother of two here in the states. Why he wasn't a bigger hit here I will never understand. I love him, could watch him for days. Thank you so much for sharing all these great clips.

For the record, Farnsey had the chance to go to the US. He chose not to take up the offer because of his young family. He's a modest man, Australia was enough for him, thank God for us!

@@markbyfield8190 for sure when I listen to them on the radio,but I think live you never know where to look with glen,all eyes are on John when he performs and his vocal range and control are truly world class the band feeds of this live and you can see it if you analyze some of the clips on youtube.at the time they were right up there with Chicago,Toto,steeley dan,doobie brothers etc.. in my opinion.Cant believe how long ago i made a comment on this.
